The main character is so lovable. I mean, yes, he's talented, but he's such an ahonest, hard-working, straight forward, respectful, kind-hearted kid. It's hard not to root for him.
And the way he can maintain his warm, smiling expression while being super blunt is hilarious. It's the perfect pair for the idiot genius friend who introduces the main character to karate. Their friendship is great, as well.
Plus, the comedic art is just right for my sense of humor - I ended up cackling like an idiot a couple times a chapter.
Would definitely recommend to a friend.
