Description

Nana Jeong, a new tenant in My Home Flat located in Sillim-dong. Her grandmother is a skilled shaman, but Nana doesn't have the ability to see ghosts and she hates superstition. Because she likes good-looking guys so much, she goes out with a lot of weird guys. She comes to her senses, decides to begin her new life and gets a room in a flat. Then, she falls for Cheolsu, a good-looking resident next door. She gets very affectionate towards Cheolsu, and he says something shocking. —Actually, I'm a vampire?'" Ugh this is good but ended on a frustrating note

What I like about this work is it has a lot of relatable, deeply flawed characters. In the first 60 ch or so it was also a very light and fun read. The FL is hilarious and she has a special way of interacting with the delusional (or not) vampire ML that makes you wanna laugh and go awww at the same time.
But toward the last quarter of this work the mood flipped and got all depressed and serious. So much messed up stuff happened, but that kept me reading til the end cuz I really wanted to see how they finally solve their problems and if the vampire thing was actually real or not. But…

instead what we got was an open ended last chapter. We dunno if FL and ML really are gonna end up together. What we thought was gonna be a gift of appreciation the ML would give to FL in the last panels turned out to be to another flatmate. And the FL, who did so MUCH to help the ML get over his phobias (?) vampire problems (?) for squat from him. Just radio silence and complete cutoff of all comms and she didn’t even know that he was still alive. He basically cut her out of his life for no good reason that was ever explained and just when we thought he would make up with her thru a gift the creator spoils it and tells us the gift was for someone else (ugh, seriously screw this ending). And we never get confirmation if the vampire thing was true or not, we also don’t know if any of the stuff actually happened or if it’s all one big dream from an old minor character who has dementia. This ending was unsatisfying in so many ways, even though admittedly it fits the tone that the last parts of the story had (it was obviously the author was going thru some really tough stuff when they wrote this, even said so themselves, which explains why this turned from a light comedy into a stressful mystery)

Gaslight gatekeep girlboss

I felt like I was being gaslit and lied to the whole time and even by the end neither I or the main character knew if the whole vampire shtick was true or not. I really liked the female lead and her silly personality. She made me laugh, and I wanted to cheer for her. (The male lead was also hot.) So I was hoping I could see a future between them or some sparks--something.

But if you wanted to read this for romance, look elsewhere. The climax of the plot along with the ending was rushed and left me feeling unfulfilled. This is a classic case of an author starting off well and not knowing how to finish. I should have read the previous review before I started. I wouldn't recommend this.

The ending feels very rushed and inconclusive.A lot of the stuff is not explained,seems like the author couldn't choose to whether lean into the vampire stuff or not.You would be disappointed if you are looking forward to the romance.Both "couples " never actually get into a relationship.Even mutual romantic feeling isn't implied.

I still rate it highly because I am fed up of cliche characters and tropes,this felt very different from the get go.The plot is very interesting although the ending is a bit lacking.Its also laugh out loud funny.Comedy is definitely it's strongest point.I would recommend reading it just for the comedy alone.
