In 1960s America, blunt macho Dennis takes on a lone sheepherding job for three months in summer, with the odd requirement that he “trust nothing but the sheep.” One month later, a mysterious man shows up. He introduces himself as Todd and says he has come to the area to hunt. Dennis is wary of Todd, but gradually realises that he’s a nice guy, and he develops a soft spot for him. While Dennis can’t quite make up his mind about Todd, despite the chemistry between them, a coyote kills a sheep. Will Dennis let doubt or certainty take over?
