Well, I gotta say, as much as i LOVE this series, I think the 2 big things that really broke this series for me was all the political stuff and Yul. I mean, i REALLY LOVE this series(despite me hating the drama), but just...neh. I think it was also cuz of how long it took for the scanlations to come out that broke it for me...but either way, I recomend this series to anyone that's looking for a good manhwa or manga to read!

Plus, I bought the entire series!

This is so good that I'd rather see Shin and Chae-Gyung together than find my soulmate. I read all 103 chapters nonstop through the night. From 12 AM in the morning to 11:50 AM I couldn't stop reading. Call me obsessed, but holy crow, Goong makes you laugh all the way through the series, makes you smile and say "awww" and cry all at the right moments.
This is the best manga/manhwa I've read in a long time, and being the obsessive otaku I am (with the over 200 series I'm reading and finished), it's saying a whole lot. I want it to not end but end at the same time. It's so good it shouldn't end, but I want to find out if they end up together...<3
The heroine is funny, strong, and often weak at times, but I love her. Trust me, you'll never get tired of this. One of the best shoujos, EVER. It makes you feel like you never want to read another manga/manhwa series again until it's finished. <3

I read this story but only at a time when shin said 'I don't want to let her go' (or something like that). It was sad and I give up on this.

e_e maybe I'll read it in other time (I don't know why the autors make a good story, but they make it too long!).It's not that I didn't like it, it was the fact that the guy was mean to the girl.

I adore Goong, really, I love Shin, even though I should hate him, but I can't (Instead, I hate Hyorin (you bitch ¬¬) and Yul (but sometimes...)!! and I adore Chae-Gyeoung, She is the coolest female protagonist ever!!
xD I'm really in love whit this manhwa, I always end up crying when Chae and Shin fight... u_U I'm hopeless!

With every page, every chapter - hell with every volume! - I fall more in love with the characters. I cry for them, laugh with them, rage and fill bitterness on their behalf... It's funny how with other manga, after the 3rd plot twist you begin to fill irritated... I felt more intrigued, and eagerness...
I went through vol 1 -15 in two days... Of course I didn't sleep one of those days...But that's besides the point...
To me this is the Nodame Cantabile of Manwha...
We just want someone (Shin Lee/Chiaki Shinichi) to take notice of that girl's effort and heart... I can hardly wait for the next chapter!!!

erm this manga is really great just like the drama.but the scanlation is taking too long make me feel like want to learn hangul and read the manga..lastly i hope that shin and ck will be together always.

This is probably one of the better Korean manhwas I've ever read. In my opinion, it's better than the average shoujo manga plot(*cough*Yuu Watase, anyone?*cough)

The political aspect of the story could be a potential turn off to readers who dislike complicated stuff, but I'd say the relationship developing between Shin and Chae-Gyeoung is well worth it.

Sure, there are a few moments when it becomes too... "chibi" grotesque, but mostly, the art's quite good for a Korean artist(it's not as clearcut as that of manga, but it's still pretty in its own right). I don't really think there's a moment when you, as the reader, could point and say, "Yah. I don't think I would do that. That's unrealistic."

The characters are very human and they make lots of mistakes(and by a lot, I mean LOTS). Sometimes it does a get a little side-tracked(with the whole bits about the eunuch and such) and it does get a little irritating, but overall, I'd say the story was mostly enjoyable.

On another note, I'd say watching the drama before reading the manga is probably better. It does a pretty good job of summarizing the plot(but of course it'll have a few different twists not in the manga), and it's a really good prelude to the story.(By which I mean it'll help you to recognize some of the things about to happen when you're reading the manga, but only enough so that not everything becomes something to be expected).

The drama's called Princess Hours in english, but Goong in chinese/korean. (Look it up on wiki-d).

BTW. Here's my last two cents: Agh, I detest Yul. Ugh. All my friends love Yul ever since the drama, but I still worship Shin(and the fan-coupling ShinxChaeGyeoung.)
Yul keeps killing all the good momentsT___T He kills everything.(And ahaha, Shin is so funny. So is CG. She's flipping cute AND scary. which is very wierd.)

Yeah, I'm rambling now because I'm still high off my Goong-rush. I've read all the chaps. up to 95 so far in three days, and it must be seriously affecting my ability to review.

Well, I actually do really like this series. I do have to say, it's dragged on much longer than I thought it originally was supposed to. There were times where I thought it was going to end soon, and I soon find that it's not even close. The drama seems like it's starting to go over the top. I have to say, though, it's been a while since I've read it and I've only gone through chapter 95, and actually don't plan to continue reading it until it's been fully, or close to fully, finished and scanlated. Some of the cliffhangers really are just...irking, but I have enjoyed this story. There have been some events and some of the characters actions just made me so angry, and sometimes I had to remind myself that it's just a manga story. I'd really like to see it finish, though, because I don't want it to turn into those really dragged out mangas.

I didn't finish it. Like some others I found it hard to follow at the beginning and gave up. Watching the live action was easier. Perhaps when the whole thing is finished I will give it another go.

there are a lot of chapters (especially now...to wait for releases) but not too much happening. I love it but its getting annoying .THIS IS SO MEAN!!!! its dragging out way too long. i am getting so frustrated. i cant drop it, but i might just wait forever until its done so i can just finish it all together. the stress might just be too much for me.
