I liked it? I think?

It was hilariously unhinged, and I think that's what was so appealing about it. Poor Cole obviously needs therapy.

My comment will contain spoilers!!

It started off funny and interesting but Cole really goes downhill. He pulls a gun on Alex for reasons and then later pulls a gun on HIMSELF and threatens to kill himself. He’s super manipulative. Then he cheats on Alex with Alex’s friend Brad. Gets drunk and confesses it to him. Then Alex forgives him. As soon as Cole doesn’t get his way about the sperm donation, he cuts himself and tries to CHEAT WITH BRAD AGAIN. Like, wtf dude. He continuously turns into an awful person the more it goes on. I can’t even root for the guy anymore because he doesn’t care about Alex. He’s willing to hurt those around him just because he can’t be in control. It just pissed me off so much that he gets all upset about cheating on Alex the first time and then IMMEDIATELY calls up Brad when he gets upset with Alex and BRAD is the one who has to tell Cole not to cheat on his boyfriend. Wtf?

Everyone sucks. Especially Cole. The only actually good character is Brad and he even kissed and blew his best friend’s boyfriend.

A refresh start for my reading list

The art style is amazing but the storyline and the style of dialogue are what caught my attention. At first, I have no expectation for the story, but really, as the days do on, I have reread so many times, and it's still always fun to read as the first time. There is already 2 vol that is translated to Eng and the 3rd one is coming out. Really hope the author will write more pieces like this and the future. And anyone know any story that has the same traits, please recommend to me :33

Funny as hell

The plot is a little underdeveloped and the gun thing was kind of over the top... but other than that, this manga is funny as hell (had me laughing throughout the whole volume) and the art is really pretty. The smut is nice too, although as someone else pointed out, it would have been nice to exchange a few smutty scenes for more developement.

Bang Bang He Shot Me Down (Figuratively)

I love this kind of relationship dynamic. The setting is really interesting too, I feel like it's set in America/California, there's a panel for example that shows palm trees, and that's really different to see in manga. Can't believe I'm saying this though, but, wish there had just been a bit less sex and a bit more story.

Nice Artwork

- The artwork is beautiful and refreshing, similar to western comics, but at the same time it also has the characteristics of a manga. I loved it.

- Pretty nice smut. Long, and juicy scenes, a feast for the eyes.

- The story wasn't that good imo, but the artwork made up for it.

Funniest uke ever, no exaggeration. He was too skinny though. Damn....I cringed so hard every time they had sex because of how skinny he was in comparison with Alex....and Alex Jr.

I agree with the comments that say that you shouldn't take this too seriously. The plot is more comedy that anything else, even if it has some realistic elements to it. The setting is very American, which I don't really have anything against, not something I would usually prefer though.

It's Comedy

I agree with liontaraki. This needs a comedy tag. After reading the whole thing at no point did it feel like a psychological manga so idk why people treat it like one. You're left feeling like the couple will have their ups and downs but will stick together and it doesn't leave a bad taste in your mouth.
It's a light hearted, fluffy yaoi with crazy people. Plus it's just plain funny at times. One of the uke's biggest wish is to get d*ck slapped by the seme for Christ sake. Cole is an anxiety ridden drama queen and Alex is a super laid back thrill seeker. They both have issues, they're both super horny and they fit together. Crazy people need love too. Don't bring real life into a fictional story. Enjoy the sexiness.

Don't take this story at face's value

This is a simply story about 2 horny college students; Cole is the uke, he's gaaaaaay and head over heels for Alex. Alex is very hot and was so moved by Cole's confession that he accepted him and eventually fell for him pretty bad. The uke is acting up all the time and his drama queen behaviour serves as a comic relief. However, many readers in several manga viewing sites thought that he's mentally challenged and that would ruin their relationship if they were a RL couple. Imo, you shouldn't take this manga too seriously and just enjoy the great artwork, the steamy h scenes and the cheesy lines.
On another note, I actually didn't like is how disturbingly skinny the uke was.

Not My Type But

I really can't deny that nyannya-sensei has got something going here. Like most people who read the the two things that stood out were:
1. The art. Not your typical Japanese manga style art, the drawing leans more towards the U.S. side, which is pretty refreshing. Even though Cole looks half staved to death, I just can't bring myself to dislike the character design.
2. The story; the typical response is "lol, what?" It really takes sometime to understand what did really happen. As you can see from the cover there's lots of craziness inside.

Personally, I reason I gave this such a high rating is because (bear with me) I found this morally/ethically sound. If you think I am crazy then it's the manga's fault. The relationship is messed up and I can't see it properly working out at all, but what I can see is that they will be staying together.

In some ways this reminded me of Kyuuso wa Cheese no Yume o Miru . Please note in some ways only.
