I really feel like they're not brother and sister in reality though (I know they were said to be twins, but it's a shoujo manga, anything can happen). I think they're actually cousins or something. I'm pretty sure that you can legally marry your cousin in Japan.

Seriously, I was so mad when I was reading the part that they got caught and Yori had to kiss his ex-girlfriend. Then, I was shouting at the top of my lungs... EFFFFFFFFF.

Now, I must say that I am satisfied. There are three volumes left... I'm so excited to actually finish this. Hopefully, they'll scanlate it until the end. love you scanlators <3

I agree with 1122shadows, people are overreacting just because there's incest on the description, when in fact this is good story which deals with taboo. Although I don't like how incest is portrayed in other mangas, this manga is an exception. This time, I support the couple's love for each other & sympathize with their struggles & sufferings because the society will never accept their love, thus they cannot be on a normal relationship together. You'll understand the depth of the story if you are an open minded reader. Anyway I liked how the mangaka ended this series. I ONLY recommend this series to mature readers, so if you hate smut & incest please don't read this manga.

On Yori's defense I have only one thing to say:

It sucks! The story is basically about a bunch of overly hormonal teenagers without self control. Attempted rape happened more than once, and none of the characters seemed fully sane.

"Why am I assaulting you in the middle of the night? Because I love you!!" -- Main guy said.

Um. No. That's not okay. That's lust, not love. The author's shallow plot and badly drawn s*x scenes made this series a piece of garbage. I don't recommend.

Seriously people who read it until chapter 10 or 11 can't say a thing about it. It's a wonderful manga and it's not about "sex" it's about desire and sacrifices. To tell the truth [spoiler alert], Iori and Iku only actually "do it" 2 times throught the whole 10 volumes of the manga.
At some point, you even forget they are simblings and start to focus on their suffering to be together. Whoever suffered for love will certainly see themselves in this story...
Also it's completly different from Flowers of Evil, stop trying to compare them.
The characters don't have super powers, they are not politically correct at all times (who does?), they are just human.
It's a great manga (and I'm not even a big fan of incest stuff), congratulations Aoki Kotomi!

It's a good story, one of my favorites but you might have to rethink how you view love. Yori and Iku relationship is a very passionate love, if you can't handle it then don't read it. Also, from a religious view point, if God created the world with Adam and Eve, then He allowed incest when their children "populated" this world. But if you believe in evolution then even monkeys indulge in incest. LOL.

I felt the ending was anti-climatic. The build-up towards what I was expecting to be the ending left me sort of bitter about it. We don't find out anything about their future, which made me annoyed. I hope there is some sort of oneshot epilogue that might come out, otherwise you'd be left severely disappointed.

the OVA brought me here , well the truth is I don't like incest type, but I'm curious about the ending, and then I peak a little the latest chapter (49 so far). and then,

I only found this story because it was one of the recommendations for "Flowers of Evil"...

I did not read it for the art. Not at all. The art is terrible and just plain ugly. It did not fit the plot at all and those chins—*gag*

As for the storyline, I had expected it to be better executed. It's completely unnatural and the pace is just not fitting. The story just jumps into scenarios; it's as if the mangaka thought up of great moments and threw them in without much thought of how it'll turn out. I didn't like it all.

The characters are annoying. They're all so spontaneous that it's unnatural. Also, the twins look nothing alike and their hair and eye color are different from one another. The side characters are cheap. It just added onto to my dislike of the story.

Overall, don't mind if you miss this. I swear, you'd much enjoy "Flowers of Evil" rather than this.

Apart from that... wierd and creepy and that's nothing against the incest issue because at least Angel Sanctuary was better. And why is the guy such a stalker, and why is she so weaaakkkk?

I don't understand anyone's motivations. that I can't sympathise with him at all. And she's so weak and snivelly that I'm not invested in any of the major characters. Nevermind the best friend who's .

Having said that - it was so bad it was good. In a tacky way. I'll give it a 6 because at least I managed to finish all of it.
