Smut wise is pretty mild
The story has character progression, more so for the ML. The FL is strong but naive in love. It is expected when going to war and killing is all she knows. The art could be a heck of a lot better but overlooked due to the story. Romance was fine, smut was okay, overall not a bad read. As of right now, the main story is complete.

The biggest strength of this series is the development of the ML, who slowly becomes more honest with himself, reflects on his behavior, and respects the FL. He's a total rake in the beginning.
The art is inconsistent. When done well, it's really nice to look at, but oh boy when it's done poorly it looks like an imitation of Picasso's style.
It's best to not think too deeply about the fact that the crux of the issue from which all the conflict revolves around

A horse is slain, and there is a lot of blood, but you don't see the wound that was inflicted. A hawk has his wing broken on purpose. Hawk (somehow) does not lose his ability to fly though.

. Just enjoy the characters, if you can. I had a good time reading it.
Artwork is baaaad. This artist does not know angles or shadows...or hell...even manhwa physics shouldn't be THIS illogical. I'm not expecting anatomical perfection! Even CLAMP's anime style follows basic "attractive" proportions...even when they started drawing noodle people.

The character development is worth the wait and it only took like 70 chapters 😂
I don’t know what the author/artist wanted to do here. By no means is it incoherent, but it is like relying on a generator for… pretty much everything. Things happen for the sake of happening. I’d describe this as a mush. And don't bother with the smut.
