Intriguing and masterful in many ways

Quite interesting and fresh in many ways. The architecture of the universe and social system are intriguing to say the least. Moreover, the art and the character's style seem to be a cool blend of concepts resulting in it's own original taste. Charming and with an intricate plot, but not over the top, Trump also brings forth a new long-lived human race.
I would say this world has plenty more to offer and therefore I'm not going to rate it less then 10.

Mesmerizing and mysterious at the beginning, I found it catchy enough to follow through. And then there are things that amusingly you hardly even notice: theatrics and little artifices
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
like how little a characters needs to get hidden (just change hairstyle and you can fit a mighty villain in the central cop building).
Does anyone know what happens to Melly?

Confuse

I don't really understand the plot of this story, It's about a young boy who just wants to reunite with his father and that was fulfilled already so the story should end there.

Trump is very confusing, but if you're someone who doesn't have anything to read then i guess i recommend this.

The story is for sure original and unique, but in honesty i can't connect with it. The Main Character is spoiled to the fact that it feels as though he doesn't have any purpose at all. This feels more like the Father is the main character as his the one moving the story and actually has a goal.

Art is lovely but the way the story works, it feels empty. Hiasen doesn't suffer from any tragedy, he lives a peaceful life but chooses not to because his spoiled. His love very much and he wants more. I honestly don't know who's the main character and who should we focus on.

It was a good read but I'm ending at Chapter 86.

Underrated, hidden gem

I can see why people stay away from it. The name is associated with Donald Trump, but it has nothing to do with the president. It refers to trumps as they can be found in playing card games. The prologue chapter is very confusing, but it is not too relevant to the story (at least not at that point) and is explained in a less confusing way at a later point of the story. And the official translation of the first season (55 chapters) is not ideal.

However, I would recommend giving it a try and sit through it for a while. Starting season 2 the translation becomes better (or you just get used to it and start understanding it), the setting, mood and direction change noticeably and a very well thought out story unfolds.

If someone doesn't like a child protagonist,
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
don't worry, there's a time skip ahead.
The characters are neither good, nor evil and you will find yourself first hating on a character, just for them to become your favorite character as the story goes on. And other characters you will perceive as heroes, just to see them
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
stab someone in the back.
Yet, you won't be able to blame them because somehow they all have good reasons to act the way they do and you won't even know whom to root for because you sympathize with all of them...

The characters have depth, their actions are consistent with their personalities and the course of events they get involved in. There are no fillers and things that took place in season 1 will be relevant to events in season 4. Everything is well connected and governed by an overarching plot.

Big spoiler on the comment of morphin007 if people find an issue with the same thing in season 2:
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Ran is not a mass murderer who's running around killing people. He was framed for crimes, he didn't commit. Yes, he killed 5 cops, but why did those cops try to arrest an innocent man in the first place...? ;)

An unconventional fantasy read

One of the best well-written webtoon with beautiful art. It keeps me guessing and looking out for clues on the mysteries and questions at present. Season 2 diverted from the main characters but halfway through that, it hooks you that you start to forget the main characters. It's connected anyway and I really enjoy reading it together with TOG.

Dude I love. F*** what they all say!

When trying out something there is always the possibility it'll not be all that you heard. With Trump it's definitely a F what you heard!.
I say ll that to say Trump is like Crepuscule with a much bigger history and broader world. If you haven't read Crepuscule it's OK cause the translations a bit slow so you plenty of time to get filled in.
(I had some temporary confusion when I first started reading this because I hadgotten the older version which it'll explain later how that is relevant)

Trump has many elements that have yet to be defined and solidified and as I read season 1, I was perfectly OK with that because it was from th perspective of a naive child. I liked that as he learned more about the world he lived in so did we. I had read the previous version and learned so much more though, I don't know if they were going in a different direction before but, yeah I got a more solid understanding of it a bit. Though one of it does not apply anymore because those events didn't happen but still it's like looking at a draft or what is to come fore me.
Season 2 picks up without momentum nd new found knowledge it provides newer to questions we had without actually giving them to the boy which I felt was amazing technique for the author to use (it gets you excited you know, ooo I know something he doesn't know), not only that but foundation established in like chapter 3 for season on is constantly brought up, in different characters perspectives which help you understand that the mystery isn't to piss us readers off its actually helping to make us become more engaged because we feel the same as the other characters in the story, they are just as confused as we are and sometimes you will findyourselfon a characters side that you never thought you would be on.

Trump reminds me of a novel, not in that it describes too much but in the way it pulls you in and disperses knowledge. In many of the good novels they do not repeat themselves overtimes they will have flashbacks but most times they will just drop a hint which I like saying "remember that thing" and I love how Trump does this. It's not scattered it's just broad, it is a big world with allot to cover and plenty of ways it can go, let the artist make the painting for you yes?

Just address morhpin007's comment, I like to have hope that nothing is forgotten just a postponed explanation if everything is wrapped up after each season I would find it bland rushed and bit predictable then. Just because someone hasn't said anything doesn't necessarily mean it was forgotten.

On another note I personally find Trump to be one of the best Web comics I have read. Between tower of God, Crepuscule, God of highschool, and this other one I can't remember the name of. Trump has good art, seemingly good literary techniques, an interesting unique world, characters that all have their own story like real life people (almost every chracters matter to someone for some reason) and best of all active and sound translators. I couldn't ask for more.

I would just like for TOG readers to note that as far as mysterious world's go Trump has laid down a solid foundation and at least a hope for exploration into this Iater on. Compared to the former in which you just never know really until someone gets a wish probably.

This should be rated higher...

...I'm not sure why it isn't. It's highly rated on naver...Anyway, it's hard to say much without spoiling things, but let's just say this is a character-oriented story and there is a lot going on, though it may be forgotten at times (due to arc plots focusing on certain characters). There is depth, emotion and, I suspect, good world building/setting that ties in with the plot. There are no inconsistencies in plot and nothing I can find wrong with this work. The second season focuses on Ten somewhat, and some people took issue with that. But I can say that it all comes into play later on.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Ten's story directly ties in with Senika's death and even Melly's story, so he is an important character deserving of the face time he gets.
And for those concerned about the story dropping Ran and some past plot points,
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
that picks up again, so don't worry. In fact, season 3 will very likely focus on Ran and his past according to the author's spoilers
. Like I said, it's a fairly intricate plot (still in its relatively early stages, I believe) that nicely weaves all the well-developed characters together. Definitely give it a try!

Started good

The first season was damn good, I would rate it 9 easily.
How character evolve, how the story unfold, it's perfect.
But then, the second season is here and seriously it's pissing me.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
The story is still good, learning more the whole background, but I dunno, I feel so many things are missing.... Like the whole world seem inexistant (except 6-7 people there isn't anyone and the story take place in only 1 building never leaving it), the cops seems completly stupids except for ten and seriously how can they work with so few people while the building could have more than a hundred inhabitant...
Plus the leader should be controlling the whole building yet any children could use invisibility items, infiltred enemys could roam freely...
And Ran... I seriously can't see him having any redeem point especially comparing to Kashim...
Seriously, Ran is a mass murderer, he killed dozens of people because of his crazyness for Senika and yet he can be a cops by only changing his hair color, doesn't care to put in hold his search for senika (and his purposeto enter in the police) to work on different things like sena's brother....
I hate it when a "villain" character is made the main character and everything help the reader to forgot his past and feel like he is cute and caring, nothing more.
In the first season it was well done, in melly's day he reunited with his son, touching moments but then reality hit the door and he needed to stun his son and killed all the cops. Same with the raincoat case, he finally helped the murderer, and didn't helped the girl except giving her a knife all because of his lifestyle, and because of that his son almost ended killed. So yeah he is a caring father, lived a tragic story but the path he choosed was that of a bad guy.
And in the second season ? just a caring father with cute hairs...Ok he is somewhat violent against a few people but that's only some villains... All the bad things he did in the past were false accusation except melly's day... yeah he is a hero, a good character...
He could be a well-made bad character with tragic story, but no he need to be the main character in second season so he need to be good...
I won't even be surprised now if Senika is alive, keeped by the bad guy who falsely accused Ran. Then Ran kill the bad guy, save Senika, restore Hyacin memory and everything end happily like a disney movie.

So all in all I feel that this second season doesn't take anything that the first season tried to do.
Be it the feeling of a real world of his own or characters devellopment, just throw that out of the window.
The second season story isn't bad but the author shouldn't have forgotten the first season and what he did in it.
