Gave me a lot of emotions, but after all a very pleasant experience.

I love the art. Love the character designs. The characters personalities are nice (puppy top, cold bottom just trying to fuck but not commit). The side characters are nice. The story concept is nothing new but still good.

The bad: I...the story. The characters actions. The story was frustrating at times. The dramatic pause moments are so.....executed poorly and are WAY too dramatic. I'm not sure how to explain....I compare [m]Reunion (2coin)][/m] and the movie-like-pauses and reactions are so well executed in that one. (I don't think it's the best comparison but I can't think of another webtoon that is similar in themes as Lucky Paradise). ACTUALLY, I think the best one I can compare Lucky Paradise is [m] The Words in Your Snare [/m]. The pause and emphasis on reactions on superb there.

Too be honest (and I really don't want to use this word) but the best word I can use to describe the dramatic-pause-reaction moments (?) is cringe LMAO. Even the smut was at times just...cringe.

I love the art here, all athletic boye looks actually manly and athletic, i usually not a fan of muscle but they are just looks right and I find it hot 😂
About story, it's ok and stupid at the same time lol so many unnecessary ott drama well it's typical Manhwa for u.

And a warning, u will get so pissed off at that selfish toxic weak loser Chunwoo so I read it for art mostly bcz idgaf about Chunwoo suddenly become a good guy after being an a$$hole he is disgusting fr, I simply cant accept how he use and abuse that boy for his own benefits.
+ I ship ho-in with woojin so yeah 😂

The ending is bullshit, their rs is too toxic to moved on and make them even happy , it's seriously just wrong and stupid, it's a best example of a toxic selfish person like Chunwoo could ruin any relationship. The way he rape his friend make me disgusted more and more till the end, seriously fuck him.

This story delivers some good points, but also the characterization is a bit off and the pace is either rushed or drags on. I was bored by the needless angst and wished it'd end faster, but unexpectedly the epilogue made it worth the rest.

Love it - finally not your typical fluffly and WHOLESOME~ uwu manga, but it is rather realistic and pretty grim at the end, so let the title not deceive you. It is interesting, captivating, really, wonderfully drawn, hot and just right. Read it.

If the author ever stumbled upon this review, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. The ending made me realise, when chunwoo was filled with guilt, that I have been in a one sided relationship for a long time. Thankyou author for this.

The art on this series is a 10 out of 10. The story…was a 3 out of 10. It actually makes how disappointing the series was more frustrating.

There was potential to do so much with this story. In my opinion the end of the main story was…pointless. It seemed at the beginning of this series like we were going to get more of a story than just smut for smut sake but that’s what this kind of ended up being. If this was gonna be the case I would have preferred for the author to make it explicit from the beginning and just added more smut to the series and less pretending to be a story.

I wouldn’t call this a happy ending story as the main couple shouldn’t really be together…they both have healing journeys they should be going on…

The side characters were kind of fleshed out and then at the very end were just never brought up again… It remains to be seen if there is some polishing attempted in the side stories but with the ending going the way I did I don’t have high hopes.

Don’t approach this story with high expectations take it for pretty smut when it happens and a pretend storyline with great artwork when that happens.

I just finished reading the 9th and final epilogue for this story and I have to say that’s where it all came together for me. I stuck with it until the end because the art style really is beautiful so I figured at this point if I had read the entire story. I had nothing to lose by reading the epilogue, and I’m happy that I did.

Spoilers ahead 👉 the epilogue focused on the beginning of the healing journey for the main couple. I thought that it was great that they showed things from the perspective of Chunwoo. I also really liked that none of the characters were pretending to be perfect and they acknowledge where they were at, and that they were trying to grow together.

As far as the final ending, I thought epilogue 8 and 9, the final conversation between Taesoo and Chunwoo regarding their relationship is really what polished the story for me. The final scene where Taesoo starts crying reminded me a little of “back to school - side stories “ the last scene where Jihyun is being driven away and crying.
