Being a good artist and being a good author are two completely separate things.
Probably the most silly story I recently read.
The pacing is poor and all over the place.
Some characters don't server any particular purpose and act as existential pawns. Many of these are introduced via a short description rather than actual dialogue. Main characters also lack depth and no clue how main heroine suddenly changes mentality.
The fights are beyond unrealistic to to the point of laughable. Crippled guy fighting like Bruce Lee, baby with armor blocking axe swings, seriously I don't even know anymore.
Sakamoto also uses many sex provoking scenes, disregarding gender a trope which is poorly depicted.
All in all is a beyond bordeline mediocre execution.

I think it's pretty historically accurate regarding Louis and the French Revolution. If you don't know any french or know about that era of time, you will be very, very lost. There's a lot of common french terms and phrases left in. So i'd suggest reading up on the french revolution very briefly and about marie antoinette and her husband, before reading this.

Well, this is really gruesome and depicts executions really...vividly. The art is kinda weird but some people would like it. It does try to have too many 'epic' art panels but it doesn't give you enough backstory as to why. The story itself was fine until a few chapters in and it went totally off the rails and started becoming some shoujo love story in between all the gross executions and surgeries.

i can't recomment this, it's just too weird and doesn't make sense.
