Different, but boring

I liked that unlike most romance manga this pretty much started with their first kiss (rather than ending with it) and it showed their first time too, so it was more realistic in that way, but it was also slow and boring and by the end I didn't care at all.

Somewhere past the halfway point in the story there was this weird, unexplained (maybe forced), part where she started

falling a little out of love with him, for no reason whatsoever, then after not seeing each other for 3 weeks she says stupid stuff like "being with you is exhausting" which resulted in them taking a break for 2-3 months.
This is where I stopped caring about her. Then in collage she puts everything he's ever given her in a box and hands it back to him, if that is not a break-up, WTF is ? but no, she was just in pain (?) and wanted him to hold it for her (WTF?) Maybe I just don't get it, but this isn't my first or even 50th romance story...

Through some miracle I managed to read it until the end, but I regret it, nothing interesting ever happened.
There could have been some comedy, we got none.
There could have been more couples to make it more interesting, we got none.
Some interesting characters ? nope, none.

It also introduces random relatives that we don't even get to learn their name and are pretty much gone the next page, while this is realistic there is a reason most stories don't do this.

The 2nd half also had so much repetitive sappy stuff, just saying how much she loves him and how thankful she is ... bla, bla bla, a million times over and in a million different ways, all meaningless at this point since it's not saying anything new.

Just a typical shoujo fluff that you'll like if you're a fan of the genre and hate and think it's cringry if you aren't. I like it, nice and wholesome but definitely a hit or miss for most readers

This should have ended at the halfway mark, I remember being really excited to read this before but when I came back to finish the second half it's just a lot of nothing. The beginning was really fast paced and it feels like the author ran out of steam after rushing to establish their relationship. I completely forgot there was a love triangle too.

Quite enjoyable at first

And I thought it was different from most other shoujos too, with the two leads so focused on, devoted to and communicative to one another. But then, after they consummated their relationship (in nice, eventual development), it kind of dozed off.

I finally skimmed through the last few chapters because I couldn't bother with the story anymore, even when they had a temp break. Another aspect I didn't like was the best friend Higuchi having feelings for the female lead. It got cliche anyhow with a popular guy becoming interested in the ordinary girl. He didn't try anything funny and I understood this was dramatised. But in real life, I had no doubt, he could have been determined and moved on after a few months, maybe half a year, instead of this drag. It was like they have nothing left inside their brain cells but love for one particular individual.

All the positive comments are valid, so needn't repeat anymore.

I'm not usually the first to lose it over mushy things like this (a lie) but god this couple is adorable

The first 2 chapters felt the weakest to me

To me it just seemed like the leads got together tooo quickly and i didn't think the female lead's actions were believable - she put in so much effort for some random guy who didn't know her name and it didn't make sense to me

I just felt like there definitely could've been more set up instead of having the FC drive the plot forward

but watching the relationship develop is so great that i hardly even care about what felt like a flimsy beginning

A lot of the story was fairly realistic which i appreciated since I haven't found ton of realism in shoujo but they still got through all the classic troupes in their own way
The obligatory chapters about Valentine's day, Christmas, ect had me genuinely excited for the lead couple
You think I'd be sick of it but i just thought the characters were that great - they're both so committed it was a joy to read

In any case - i can't say enough positive things about this manga i smiled almost the whole time i read it

A series about the romantic relationship between the female lead and her sempai. That's about it. No really that's it. Stop reading the beginning paragraph there is nothing more about this series. Seriously stop. I'm warning you..... Ok there is a vey small love triangle. But It's barley worth mentioning. But besides that there is nothing.... Ok there is also the classic study so lets not see each other a while drama. But beyond that the story is pretty cookie cutter type stuff.

The mango starts off with the FMC seeing that her desk has been vandalized with a song lyric. So she ends up being a desk pen pal for like 5 pages. Then she falls in love with the guy who wrote in it (the desk pen pal) who also is now in love with her. They began dating just like that. We are halfway through Chapter 1.

The series is split into a few arcs. The getting together arc (not just chapter 1 but the first 2 volumes). This is where they sorta test the waters. Honestly this arc kinda sucks dick. Not only do the characters are just speed running. But like the art isn't that good either. At times especially in the middle. Its fantastic but it definitely feels off way too much in the beginning. This sort've makes a resurgence at the end as well. Which is not good, The ending is the final message or note you are leaving people with.

The series is solid for its daily slice of life stuff. Albeit it never really elevates itself either. Its a fun time killer. Lots of cute moments. Some light jealously moments that aren't really annoying but still cute. Overall as far as the romance and couple chemistry goes. Its fun. Its fun to watch the characters interact with each other. Slowly and surely they fall deeper and deeper in love. There relationship becoming more solid as time goes on.

There is a Token love triangle in the beginning. That lasts a whopping 1 chapter. I wouldn't even count it as a love triangle. Not even that there is another character that pines for the female lead but there is so much breathing room given that I wouldn't call it it Love triangle either. I do think this part of the series was actually done well. He never kind of overstepped his boundaries or anything. Understood doing something more would be a bad idea but at the same time wanting to hold her. Very well done.

In the end the series loses itself near the end once again. The art also does become somewhat weak as well. But I don't think there are many issues in the series. I just realized the side characters in the series had a minor presence. There was no milking of the side character romance (mostly).

I have read a lot of shoujo series. I find it hilarious that romance manga aimed at men barely have any sex scenes but romance manga aimed at women have like multiple sex scenes. What's up with that shit. This is some dumbfuck irony going on here.

TLDR: A very enjoyable time killer that never leaves the pond it resides in. 6/10

It's a little too much realistic approach of romance but nt in a bad way. Ending was good but left some bad taste in my mouth. Overall it was great.
