Pretty interesting but not my cup of tea

This was one hardcore manhwa! Yep, I did drop it, but it helped me sharpen my yandere taste... This taught me that I don't really go for serial killer yanderes. And there was too much smut for my taste. I like a bit of smut, but excessive smut isn't my choice by far. So, this was a useful excursion, even if it didn't end quite the way I expected it.

But, all of this aside, this is a top tier art manhwa, with a Hannibalesque story.Well made and doesn't shy away from bloody things. Whoever loves serial killer psychology will enjoy this. While the cat and mouse game between the ML and MC was't realčly satisfying, it wasn't all that bad.

Immaculate art.
Giving Killing vibes ~~
Would recommand, no weird romanticization, a toxic love with toxic people on differents levels. Love the psychological trip ~
The side stories were disappointing tho.

Left me wanting more

I loved this story…this reminded me a bit of black mirror in the sense that it’s a twisted love story that you aren’t expecting. BTW the art in this story is beautiful!

**Spoilers Ahead**
I love the main characters in this story. There’s no excuses made for Seo Ilmo you get to see his history and evolution as a serial killer. They did a really good job of showing how Ah In was torn between falling in love with Seo Ilmo and the fact that he’s a serial killer. In the end, he still loved him even though he wasn’t sure that he had survived and was hoping that he would come back for him.

The only reason this is a 9 instead of a 10 for me, is because I would have really liked to have seen more of how our main couple got back together, what happened with his friend after realizing that Ah In disappeared in the end, and of course our favorite little baby boar Ilmo.

It would’ve been so great to see his reaction when he realized he was still alive how they talked out how they’re going to live together in secret. ..maybe even a few happy days. I think I would have preferred to see more of this in a side story instead of seeing how Seo Ilmo drove his brother crazy even though that was interesting and I did appreciate how it added to the story.

UPDATE - After Side Story 1 & 2
So when I said I wanted more this is an exactly what I meant or wanted.

Side story 1 was good because it gave us a background as to why Seo Ilmo became such a twisted character so I appreciated the backstory.

Side story 2 takes a dark twisted turn that I feel was unnecessary and actually took away from the enjoyment I had of the main story. This entire site story is dedicated to Ah Ins best friend. The better part of the side story was actually really hopeful because we got to see him start to move on from looking for Ah In and actually start a relationship he was settling into with a cop. But then it takes a dark unexpected turn because Seo Ilmo comes back and tortures his new boyfriend leaving an open ending where it’s heavily implied he murders the boyfriend and has someone run over the best friend. It’s unknown how Ah In is doing although Seo alleges he is in the hospital.

To me side story 2 actually takes away from the whole story. I don’t see why it was necessary to do any of this. The main story is over so for the ML who is a psychopath to come back and do all of this in my opinion isn’t necessary as the friend was moving on and wasn’t looking for them anymore. In the series even though Seo is a psychopath he’s more obsessed with Ah In than killing people….

This story wasn’t framed as a romance so maybe it was just me…there’s one more final side story in December 2023 so we’ll see what happens.

Dropped. Good art and promising premise but ultimately wasted. Ugh, the potential would have been amazing if done correctly.

It's been said repeatedly but this reads as a REALLY bad mishmash of Hannibal (2013 Tv series), Killing Stalking and Guilt | Pleasure's "In These Words" fanfic. I really enjoy stories about alternative lifestyles but it's disappointing when the artist/author doesn't do much research especially when that life is so important to the story itself. They made Ah-In a sex worker just for the sheer hell of it, it seems. He could have been just about ANYTHING else and it likely would have worked just as well, if not better in this setting.

Also, doing some research on my own; apparently the original artist/writer is racist as fuck when they went around trying to get this off of various reuploader sites. They have every right to protect their intellectual property, I fully agree! They should bring the full power of the law down on people who are leeching off of their hard work and not paying for official translations. HOWEVER when they start using racist slurs and such to go after other people, even if these people are morally wrong for theft...yeah, that's not okay. I don't care anymore. I've blacklisted this artist/writer.

One of the best manhwa's (besides "The Beast Must Die"😉 I've ever read.
Good looking MC, hot, thriller and action packed. What more do you want. I wouldn't classify it as horror.
I am happy that Ah In and Seo Ilmo are together in the end.
A side story of how they live in the future would also have been nice and or maybe that his eyes will be healed at some point.

I hope the author writes another psychological story!

It would be nice if there was an English/German print edition... I would buy it immediately!

The drawings are breathtaking and really fantastic, I can't get enough of them. I hope to see more of the artist in future manhwa's.
- But as always, this is a subjective opinion. -
Reading and making up your own mind is best.

Edit: The side story was quite good but not as I would have hoped. I would have hoped that both of them could sort out the mess together.

I loved the character profiles from the beginning, it had so much potential! Ah-in and Seo were just a wonderful couple, so many details in the story itself!
Totally different from other YD series, which made me wonder if it was really her idea?! It was too good to be true, unfortunately...in the middle of the season 2 the author showed her true face once again...well, I shouldn't be surprised...pathetic, out of nowhere sequence of events, ooc behaviours, plot twists just to add more toxicity and angst..
And the worst ever ending! In my opinion, the author just showed how little she cares about her characters and about the readers who truly supported the series! No respect at all! I had hopes till the last chapter that...It can't be true, someone can't ruin their series that much...and again...I think I shouldn't be surprised. A lot of unexplained threads, terribly forced and rushed ending! What she did with Ah-in, this is unforgivable! I regret every coin I spent on continuing this sick fanfic, because that's the only thing I can call what was done with this series in season 2! Decent storyline ended there!
But these characters are no longer just to the author, they also belong to us, the readers. In my opinion, what we were shown as the ending is just a sick vision of the author, an another fanfic (just like that rape and sex scenes with MJ)
What truly happened for me: Ah-in was pretending to be blind, Seo was there for him in the house with their Ilmo JR and he took Ah-in before MJ could noticed and they drove away towards the setting sun... that's my ending...

Like almost all of series, the title only lives up to its name for a while before turning completely the opposite or just doesn't have anything to do with it anymore.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Ah-In may still work as a blind masseuse as of chapter 42 or so, but he gave in and reveal his lie so quickly as of chapter 20.... which I feel is way too early. I'm not saying he has to act blind all the time when he again meets with Seo Ilmo, he's probably figured out everything anyway and or will find out eventually. Just that the thrill of not knowing whether the male lead actually knows about this lie and Ah-In's constant anxiety about being found out, just lost. It now feels like the typical stockholm syndrome victim and ml leading him on and basically gets away with everything and a third party to add a conflict (because let's be real, without this 3rd party what else is the stake going to be here).

What makes me still read it, is mostly because of the gorgeous art style. Which make me appreciate even the most even basic insignificant character or passerby, and my curiosity about how this is going to end, but if nothing changes until this ends, I don't think this will leave that much impression in me. Definitely not something I will easily forget, just something that I'm not easily remember by or be glad that I read it.
