Although she is a 15 year-old girl who dreams for a romantic relationship, China grew up to be very boyish. Now that she's in high school, she meets a cute (kind of short) boy named Haruka, and a big genius-boy named Shindou...
1 Volume (Complete)

my comment is that this story is not like other stories i say that a lot about other stories but this one is really worth looking at 🙂
the development of the characters is really touching as the story progresses, i was hoping that there would be more chapters but then again just 4 chapters was good enough for this kind of story as if the story would've been spoilt if it carried on.
i recommend it to people looking for a bitter sweet love story at this moment and don't be judged by the art or the year it was published on, its the story that counts 🙂
the art is not perfect but still good , the story is not special but an ordinary school life shoujo manga with a girl and two guys
and then romantic feelings developes but the ending was not expected it was more realistic
the girl realised her feelings in the end after 2 and half years but it was too late for her and she ends up alone, eventhough she was looking forward for a beatifull future
it was a bittersweet manga in 4 chapters ..... really recommanded
It's really great, entertaining, amazing! It's one of the best shoujo I've read, though it's short you feel it's complete...=D
And in the end you get a bitter sweet feeling (I guess that is how you should name it... XD)
A lot of stories are called "bitter sweet", yet it's the first time I understand its meaning!
Reading it is really not a waste of time! C:
is really a great manga
i think this is a very realistic manga, not usually lovey dovey couple with many adventures in the way and a happy ending...is just what it is...the travel of one girl in high school...
very recommended!!
i so cried at the end.. i'm such a sucker for those things.. such a heartbreaking story, i thought it was going to be a typical cute shoujo. how wrong!!
i hated how things turned out. how china cared more for haruka than shindou, but haruka who USED to love china (ohhh why didn't he tell her?! IDIOT! why just ignore her like that??) now loved his girlfriend??!? uwaaaah noooooo D: IT'S ALL MESSED UP! why china?! why shindou?! WHY HARUKA?!!??
-ahem-
BUT, a part deeeeeeeep down inside of me realizes the fact that if it was different, it wouldn't have been as good.. as touching. it would have been.. well, not the same. (if that makes sense. XD)
When I first started reading I was like ahh another typical so who is it gonna end with but it was different, enjoying highschool falling in love and still 'there is a long life ahead' , that difference makes it worth reading 🙂
I have mixed feelings about this manga. Truth is, I liked it, however way it ended. I don't agree with some of the people here saying that it was too short, considering the timeline of the plot was 3 years. I felt it was just right. You know, it was kinda realistic in a way, since in real life, you just go through a few months or so without anything really significant happening to you. I think the mangaka tried to draw it with this point of view in mind, and thus that's how the story was portrayed.
About the ending, I thought it was, as some said, open ended, but not really.
This is because the open ended thing was only on China's and Shindou's side. Obviously, since Haruka and his girlfriend were still together at the end, there was no chance of China and him getting together. (I also think that the sequel is about Haruka and his girlfriend, since they're the ones on the cover, if I'm not mistaken.) So really, the only thing that the readers have to speculate on is if Shindou and China got back together again or not.
And since I like them together, that's what I'll think. 😀
I sort of liked the artwork, by that I mean I loved how the female was drawn up but the male characters were kind of choppy. As for the story the relationships of the characters are not fully explained at the start so the frienship between them is a bit strange but I think I understand now since I've finished it. It's one of the few stories I truly like even though it really dosen't have anything special about it. It made me feel happy and sad and I guess that's why I like it.
this manga was really nice. though its too damn short. with that sorta plot, they should have made the manga longer.
i really love all 3 characters. i love how China was at the beginning. being oblivious to things. she's so cute! and Shindou and Haruka's characters are not overdone.
but what ticked me off was that a year went by everytime u start a new chapter. its like.. what? what happened? and suddenly its 3 years already? and things went off quickly. i wished they would just slow down!!
ah well. i hate the ending. after all that and then nothing of it? psshh....
