The story is pretty interesting and the art is good. The translation is a bit awkward at times but still totally understandable so not a real issue.
Many readers might not consider this a BL as the main couple is straight (the 2 side ones are boys). I'm not really bothered by the label as their romances are still pretty present in the story, but it might be a bit confusing and made me expect the main character to meet someone else. Although I would blame more the use we make of the label and the genre itself than this manhua.
My actual critiques of the contents are that I'm a bit miffed by the way "ugly" characters are represented. Freckles, fatness, acne, really exaggerated facial features compared to the rest of the cast, and being effeminate for boys... Very caricatural and sometimes insulting, especially with no actual critique of beauty standards. I also have a small disagreement with the way merit is regarded. It is slightly tempered by saying some people have to work harder than others, some have privilege, but at the same time a good person would keep working harder and they'd eventually be rewarded. Yeah, life doesn't work that way.
Lastly, I'm not very enthusiastic about the main couple because
it starts when the MC is still in high school, and the woman is an assistant doctor. She is only 3 years older, but that's still a position of authority over him, and they only question the viability of their relationship regarding Yu Xiyu's status as a celebrity and the risks for his career. There are no mention of the power imbalances between them when it could have been included in the reasons they choose to wait to develop an actual relationship.
