On the contrary..

I was going to give up this series after reading the reviews on lack of plot and romance, but I took it up anyway out of boredom. I was expecting no plot and no romance, but I was wrong! As stupid as the plot is (I really hate manga based off a simple object like a charm or necklace or some magic book), it does have one. And that plot basically revolves around protecting the main girl from some punishment.

BUT I must say that it is very annoying to have a joke thrown in out of nowhere after a very dramatic moment. The creator mentioned somewhere in the afterward that she wanted to keep the series comedy and not go into drama, but I think a good comedy should have its dramatic moments too.

And romance! Well, it seems to me there are enough hints that the main pair will be Red + Main (or is this just my wishful thinking?). However, there are enough hints to show that all the knights are in like with the main character and it seems to me that their love for her is fueling their dedication (although how they fall in love with some random girl is a mystery). And it's harem--what do you expect? If she chooses the guy immediately, there would be no more lovey dovey scenes with bishies~~

Despite my dislike for bug-eyed anime characters, I must say that the art is gorgeous. The story is a bit thin, but I've always had a thing for the black sheep (*cough cough*Kurama Mutsuki*cough*) in manga, and Kurama is such a mysterious and interesting character that he ups this rating from a 6 to an 8. (I know I'm biased, right?)

I see...

I can tell there's a lot of hate going on, which I guess is because of the lack of originality compared to this and other "romance" quoooota quote mangas. I don't agree to everything about this, because overall, it was not too bad. Don't let the "harem" idea bias your view... until you actually read it.

The art is good. One look at a page, and you can see the fluidity of how everything goes. Do not be flown away by the art, though, until you get a good look at how the story line starts out.
Art: 10/10
The plot line starts out uncertain and slow, pacing back and forth with the same concepts but not getting to the point. All of a sudden, big things start hitting them, and you get sprung into some kind of huge chaotic mess. It changes the main goal of the main character, if there was any to begin with.
Plot: 3/10
It's funny, really, it is. But the main character, Anis, or Agnese, is so FAKE. I apologize, but in the latest chapter she was extremely stupid. She has a prominent personality, promising at first, but really flat out horrible. The four other boys that are in/falling in love with her, easily said, are square characters. Don't expect much change except for probably one... and even if he changes, it will only be a slight bit. Expect all the colors of the rainbow to show up... read it to find out.
Char. Dev.: 1/10 Character art: 10/10
It's fun, it's nice, and the art is a joy to read. I would recommend this to someone who would like a semi-serious manga, but if you'd like to snuggle up for a sweeping romantic, or a REALLY awesome fantasy supernatural, Ms. Rose Princess isn't for you.

Great

I don't know what wrong with all the people who are reviewing, because I think this is a great series and deserves a fair chance. And Don't think I'm just some crazy little fangirl, because the majority of my favorite manga's are all shounen battle/actions stories, so as someone who prefers shounen I think this is a pretty good manga...

The art is great and really pretty, but unique and not like every other shoujo manga, Shouoto has her own style.
The characters are good too, they each have their varying personalities and, since a lot of people seem to have a problem with her, I'd like to say that Anise (the main character) is pretty cool. She's strong, but not in a Mary Sue way, she's funny, and she isn't completely help less like amlot of other shoujo girls (like Yuki from Vampire Knight) and she's nice too.
There have also been some complaints about the amount of jokes in it, well that would be because its a COMEDY.
And the plot, firstly, the choker, despite the description, its NOT the main thing, its just a gateway to the ACTUAL plot. As for protecting her? Did you miss the bit where it turns out he LIED to her? Cause its mentioned that it was supposed to HIDE her from Ninufa and co.
The plot really isn't that bad, there are all these people who have only read like 9 chapters, can you really say the plot is bad when it hasn't completely developed yet? I don't thnk you should complain that much about things being unknown, its only being realistic and its shown that Sensei is keeping the truth from her.
As for character development, I think that isn't that bad either, especially for Tenjou, he seems like a funny, creepy, masochitic idiot that you love, but you see glimpses that he's actually pretty sadistic and knows more than the others too...

I don't want sound mean to those guys though, and maybe its just a clash of opinions, but if you want a nice, funny, not overfilled with way to much boring romance (but still with cute moments, its a good amount) then I think you should try it out. If you just feel like starting a new series than this is also good for you. But if you're looking for something overly stuffed with boring cliche romance and guys that look exactly like the girls (and each other) than this is not the manga for you, in fact, try reading Vampire Knight (sorry VK, the premise is nice, but its soooo boring, in fact, even the romance is kinda crap)

I'd give this an 8/10

I kind of get the feeling that this is typical for the mangaka. The art is nice, and it mostly feels like the plot revolves around getting into situations that are nice to look at. The romance was obvious from the get-go, which obviously resulted in most people rooting for everyone but the guy she ended up with. (And although I'm always for the heroine chosing whomever she wants, I can't help but wonder if she had any romantic agency or if she ended up with Kaede merely because Shouoto wanted her to.)

On a personal level, this was not a satisfactory read. The relationships between the characters often enough seemed shallow and half-assed. The ones that didn't where mostly left in the shadows, so I'm left to assume the reason why they didn't seem shallow was because they didn't get enough time to proof themselves to be. I don't read for the lipservice of friendship, if you know what I mean.

I didn't expect anything more from this story, but I expected there to be at least a few scenes to look back to and say "They were definitely worth my afternoon". Instead, I wish another author would try her or his luck and work with this concept, as it does provice enough genre tropes to be entertaining, yet enough freedom to be exciting and surprising.

Alas, if only the execution had been better. Overall okay-ish if you're sick and just need to read something to fill your time, but other than that, I wouldn't recommend it.

It takes a while for the villian to appear, but you just need to keep reading!! I have to agree that the main character isn't the most orignial, but I don't hate her. (it could be worse) I'm really interested to see how this turns out!!

the art is an 8
the plot (beginning since it just started this year) for me is a 9
and the characters are a 9

it's a manga with promising characters and plot plus an attractive drawing...hope that as it continues, it would improve more and it wouldn't be like other manga that only have a good start but falls as the story progress.....

Did somebody call for BISHOUNEN?!?

There is a plot, but it's basically an excuse for smouldering-eyed bishounen that all dote on the heroine in some way, whether it's giving hordes of affection, or just a bunch of sexual tension. But I truly like the plot though, it reminds me a little of Ouran mixed with a magical girl shioujo. The art is clean and pleasing to the eye, and oh so girly. If you are here for that bishounen romance kick, then you have come to the right place. If you are here for some depth and a memorable story that makes you remember it for a long time, then go look for Fullmetal Alchemist.

I'd say it was okay. Usually I don't read this type of stuff, but I tried it 'cause I thought that art was good. A bit fast-paced, yeah, but not as bad as some of the reviews make it sound (although, that's probably becuase I didn't really take this seriously...)

It was kind of a letdown--the main character annoyed me to hell, and the dudes didn't have much character development. It's a good time-waster, but I wouldn't reccommend it to someone actually LOOKING for a good manga. .__.

Doomed from the start

There's nothing worse than knowing EXACTLY who the main character is going to end up with right from the start and realising that you find most of the other male characters more appealing.

The thing about this manga is that the art is beautiful, the story is gripping and it really carries you along. But then it disappoints BIG TIME by being completely cliche in every single way. I never second guessed myself about who the main character would choose and I found it hard to read on because I felt there was more chemistry with one of the other male leads.
Just for once I'd like a manga artist to surprise me and pair up the main character with the dark horse rather than 'option number one.'

And seriously, what was with picking the most obvious of the guys to be the baddie towards the end? Um, where's your imagination.

Had to drop this one. Slain by disappointment.
