If I have to be honest..

This manga didn't exactly blow me away and I thought the stories were just okay, but all in all it was still a pretty good debut publication for a rookie mangaka. I mean it's Kyuugou we're talking about here. She's definitely shown her skills and potential as a storyteller and manga artist, and we know by her future works that she's got what it takes to be special.

It's Good for When You Want to Feel Happy

Eh...some jabs at the other reviewers here be warned.

The art is very good and NOT AT ALL AVERAGE (how dare you say that.) It has a realistic touch and really most of the one-shots were pretty realistic in plot. Like I could certainly see these situations happening to me or something (including "The Beautiful Tomorrow".)

And of course it's going to be ordinary it's not some fantasy novel or anything it's slice of life what are you thinking?

It isn't ground-breaking or like OOOOO SUCH A GREAT AND MOVING MANGA but if it's a rainy day or maybe you just wanna smile I'd certainly recommend it to you.

Chapter 1, 5 and 6 all belong to the same couple and all of them are great. I think I'd have liked them even without the small portion of shonen-ai it actually has, on Keita's existence alone. He really is the most lovable character in the bunch. The rest of the stories are quite enjoyable as well. If you like a spring-flavoured tale of boys love, with a realistic mood and wonderful art style, you shouldn't miss out on this.

I like all the stories. Mainly because they all have this sort of slow reality to them, like a philosophical touch or maybe because the characters are somewhat introverted they just think beautiful thoughts. I just really enjoyed the narrating thoughts. I liked the first story a lot. I really love love love the art. I definitely recommend this manga. These are definitely worth the read. I mean it wasn't ground breaking or anything but as far as BL oneshots go this is better than a lot of other stuff I have read where there is no emotion or connection to be felt.

Really loved the extra(sequel to first oneshot)

The first one and its sequel are really sweet and sentimental. Loved it! Highly recommended to shounen-ai fans. Keita especially matures and seems really wise by the sequel.
The other oneshots are nice, worth reading once.

I agree with calstine's comment in some ways, for one not all the stories are "oh so amazing" ( the only story that I really liked was not even mentioned in the description,"the beautiful tomorrow") the baseball story was just boring and not special...(also, I know that that one guy has an accent, but to make it where you have to reread some lines...just didn't go along with me.) and the "The Sakura Pilgrimage" was too stupid and unsatisfying... now, though this can be said about those two, "the beautiful tomorrow" is an exception, I would certainly recommend you to read this one, it was a nice feeling and had a bit of humor.without this story, I would rate this a five...

Now, very unlike calstine's comment, I could say that the art is very nice and it didn't get in the way of reading this story at all.

intelligent, sexy shounen ai!

The highlight is the stunning art. These boys are sharp, sharp, sharp. The bold, vivid lines and clear characterization captured me from go. The stories themselves are good as well; they don't bring the art down whatsoever. The best story was "A Beautiful Tomorrow." It barely had any sexual intimacy in it at all and yet it was sizzling with emotion!!! Kyugo-sensei knows how keep my attention with her heart-rending plotting.

Boys who are boys.

I love that the boys in this story actually look like and act like boys! It's such a rarity. Plus, I like how the author doesn't just solve everything with a kiss; people actually have to talk things out to solve their problems! Examples:
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
The baseball story where the guys kiss, but they don't do anything else. Eventually they talk things out and then they become a couple - and even then they don't hook up. Or the story where the kid comes back drunk, (alluded to) kiss, they talk, and then they get together.
All in all, it's good proper shounen ai with a more realistic approach.
