Light comedy manga with sport and a, well, silly attempt of a plot, really.
The protagonist's mother is supposed to be the drama point of it all, but really who cares about her, let's be honest 😀
You want to read this manga for the emotions these girls convey during the matches.
and btw, in case you're wondering, the already occasional ecchi disappears after the first 2-3 volumes.
The art, however, is the one controversial aspect of the manga. It's fine for the first 2 volumes or so,but then something strange happens.
The character design evolves for the better, it gets richer, more unique and less commercial and moe overall, but the quality gets... uhmmm.
While it manages to be very powerful, functional, even realistic during the sport sections, anywhere else it just drops. Whenever it's time to show people talk, or simply show a face from the front on a bigger panel, the quality declines at an unjustifiable rate, and the same character won't even look the same as it did 3 pages prior. it's not even a matter of artistic choices: the artist just straight up forgets basic stuff such as perspectives, proportions, poses, lighting on the hair, character consistency, screentones... It goes from really exciting to very rushed and unpleasant to look at. It's clear the artists put more effort in some chapters and rushed some of the others.
