Whoa, Shin Yuri really is something! I have heard about Sura's beloved, but have never read it, and it seems that a new treasure trove of stunning manga opened before me! First, the art is gorgeous, and every panel is a small masterpiece. The seme is sexy as heck, and the uke is sensual oh my! And the story... So deliciously yanderish, just my cup of tea. And the best part is that it's left open for the reader to decide, just how far did the seme go to get what he wants... Plus mpreg, also one of my favorite tropes! And it's intense and dark - while I have nothing against endearing green flag relationships in yaoi, I don't find them as intriguing as these macabre, heavy stuff.

This is just very good, and definitely worth reading!

I love Shin Yuri stories. I was a little surprised by this one because Shin Yuri doesn’t have many dark stories. I would recommend 1866 and Sura’s Lover. If you like the vibe this story gives you (those are also stories by Shin Yuri)

I did see that there was a mention of Lima Syndrome being compared to the story… Having read it, I also disagree. For me Lima Syndrome was not a love story at all. It was all about destroying this one person. This story although dark and twisted was about love in my opinion.

There’s a lot of things that are implied so it’s really left to the reader to decide. Did the ML destroy the MC’s life to become his savior or did he just take advantage of his circumstances because he loves him?

The art of Shin Yuri just keeps getting better, maybe that's because the story is so short...you have more time. I've often read that it's compared to Lima Syndrome? No, I don't think at all that the story resembles "Lima Syndrome". Because in this short but beautiful story, the protagonist Yooil has no idea what his precious friend Hwan has done for his love at first sight. So for Yooil it's just luck and always will be, Hwan will make sure of that.

I'm looking forward to Shin Yuri's new story "Mokdan's Fragrance"
