The art is amazing ! So clean, so detailed, so smooth... perfect to my tastes !!
On another hand the story is seriously lacking...
Truth is the summary REEEEEALLY didn't appeal me. It seemed annoyingly shallow and stupid... But I still gave it a shot for the potential angst.
I expected the whole manga to be based on the rescue plan but it wasn't the case. At all. More like we don't care at all about the rescue plan because it actually lasted 5 fucking pages. So no angst here. (That's what I came here for but there wasn't any... cries)
On another hand the author tried to develop a whole plot. It seemed promising and unconventional (for a BL) so i must admit I was rather hyped. But all in all it was just a huge pile of wasted potential. Ugh so frustrating !!
Firstly, the pacing is all over the place. The time lapses are badly handled and the story either moves on too fast or too slow. Moreover, although the romance turned out rather interesting, it was terribly cheesy. Plus the uke turned out too effeminate for me : getting jealous for no reason, being so ridiculous and whiny (was he actually a shoujo heroine in disguise ?). And I still don't understand why he chose to play hard to get after his feelings got reciprocated..? The drama was way too far-fetched for me. It felt soooo forced omg... x/
Lastly, the plot was unsatisfying and didn't even get any real conclusion. It was too undeveloped ...so disappointing.
Some moments were good though ! For example, I really like that quote : "Actually feeling defeated isn't the end of the world. Feeling "meaningless" is. It's like fighting a war you don't believe in. It's despairing."
But yeah all in all I can't say I really enjoyed it. Missed potential. A waste. I'm frustrated because it could have seriously been great but unfortunately it wasn't... I'm glad I gave it a chance though cause the art is so freaking pretty __
