This is a great manga and I am happy to see an unconventional style of art + story get scanned for a broader audience to enjoy.
The art is endearing although nothing special (the author’s self-representation is adorable to me), but the message really hits home without being preachy. It’s a nice overview of the issues affecting the LBGT+ community in Japan (although the focus here is primarily gay men) AND many of the things addressed and the messages conveyed are broadly applicable to LBGT+ people all over the world.

the style is nothing to write home about, but this might be funniest manga I've ever read, which also discusses serious topics. No melodrama, but not everything is brushed off.
Plus hey actual LGBT experience coming from a gay man and not a straight old men's writing room who think they know what rep we "want", so seeing so many 1 stars feels weird to say the least.
I think more people should read this! A breath of fresh air both as an LGBT manga and autobiographical one
