7 Volumes (Complete)

the first 3 volumes are nothing short of awesome, but the quality of the story degrade after that point, since after vol 4 the story from being pretty slow paced serius and grim put on its rocketboots and sets away at a horrible pace, and the story somewhat seams to be left behind, and it runs into alot of old clichés instad of keeping its originality.
thats my thought atleast
This is a messed-up trainwreck story of someone who can't decide what he wants to do, which, however, is to be expected of the protagonist.
There are sex scenes, some that have impact on the story, others are just there for the sake of it. Whether it's bad or not depends on your point of view.
There is less spectacular action (and gigantic bosses) than you'd expect from an anti-superhero story, nothing that would put you in awe, but you already know it's not shounen, it's more likely to give you things to think about.
No one qualified to be called hero in this manga, every single one is an asshole
Plot developments extremely unpredictable but to the worst direction
Protagonist is an idiot till the end
All heroines got NTR-ed while the protag raep MILF
The manga really started good, the whole setting was refreshing and you wondered what would come next, BUT after the first three volumes it turns out to be a freaking typical shounen manga. 2 rivals got a suit a 3rd one comes around with an upgraded version, then another rival for the 3rd comes out. Before we know it, they've already forgotten to write about the main character.
I started reading it because of the antihero tag, but in my opinion it's just a childish highschooler, who doesn't think about anything really or he just focuses on minor details, like to beat a child over the internet... instead of attacking the governement or something. It's to be added, there's also a lack of character development.
All in all read the first two three volumes but if you keep reading it, you'll regret it.
5/10
On the surface, it's about some guys and gal got given a special suits that allow them to perform superhuman activities: high jump, strength, armor, unlimited Net access with huge processing power, and later on, laser claws. And what they did with them? Then later on the superior versions of those suits are in public use and some upheavals from that.
There some sex scenes but not too crude. Pretty logical if you know Japanese, actually.
Second layer, it seem like a message aim toward those shut-in hermits and 'whatever' youth of Japan today.
Third layer, a message about the politic system, as well as media. It's pretty interesting.
ON the whole, this is one good manga. Not at the level of Sanctuary, but worth reading.
My only complaint is that the suits are a product result from secret joint venture of several Asian goverments. A secrets known to 3 governments and it can still be kept secret? I dont think so. 1 is possible. 3 is... unlikely.
This manga, I admit has the potential that could actually be very good, with concepts and ideas that would make it enjoyable. But it lacks focus and story lines gets completed too fast and unsatisfying. Such as the junk origin that felt rushed and kind of pointless.
White Junk story completed way too early making her appearance not as significant. Or the
cult arc where they wanted students to join them by offering them huge amount of money ultimately didn't lead to anything just felt too fast and unsatisfying same with ayu's character she is just cheerful. Also apparently ! around 12 junk users fates weren't mention in the end of the manga did they escape were they killed by US millitary pure speculation
The ideas that were good but didn't had a refined execution was Ryouko's arc
how she was abducted by a man who lost his daughter and since the daughter has the same name as her he develops emotion filling that void to sudden rationalising how she is not his daughter to assaulting how her story had interesting conflict that causes the main character to change is actually an idea that is great but it's execution could be better.
Also hiro's counsellor miraculously survive with literally no explanation.was weak writing. Overall I wish the author refined his execution even better to make hiro's transition in his character growth more convincing and robust, honestly kei kurono's growth in Gantzwas more convincing to me.
If want a series that has an anti hero and talks about politics better than Junk, go read Akumetsu as that is more interesting as it is mysterious and thrilling to read, just as long as you don't mind the middle part of the story as that drags a little too long.
i've only read the first couple of chapters and so far it's pretty good.
though the main character is very similer to light in death note.
the amin characeter is a self centered and pratically believs that the world revolves around him. not to mention prideful. some might say he is an anti-hero. but the fact of the matter is he is a villian who has manged to convice hm self that he is a hero.
It's very easy to hate this kind of a chracter but the manga is well written to the point that you want to know more about this persons life. the art is preety good and likable.
this manga lacked consistency in my opinion. i mean, the story shifts from the main character to some other crap you could care less about, and then instantly back to the main character when the story ends. the emotions of the characters, especially that of the main character, were not consistent throughout. towards the end, i really didnt care what was happening, i just wanted to finish the manga and do something else. the manga had a decent start, but got worse towards the end when seemingly important characters were cast away for minor characters who were also cast away later on, like wtf.
this manga is the anti-hero kind~ the mangaka is the kind that likes super-power stories, and his art is totally up to it! I recommend this for people who feel like a change ^^
