Although not so original, it had potential - it's a shame it got suddenly cut off. I heard it was actually a mistake that it got serialized. Considering the author's history, that must've sucked.
Very formulaic. Stupid main character, a runaway princess, a evil magician mastermind and a series of increasingly difficult enemies-turned-friends battles. If this was a 90's manga, it wouldn't be so bad, but for a story that came out in 2006, this is AWFUL.
Is it good or bad? I'm not sure.
The art is nice, but in my opinion Kami no Mizo Shiru Sekai was better in this field. This goes even more for the story. This 'fighting main character gets pulled into a secret world by a mysterious girl'-way of storytelling isn't really originally. Also there are just to much questions piling up, with to few answers given.
I hope It'll get better with more development in the story.
Untill then I remain on a rating in the higher midfield.
Started reading this because it was done by the same author who did Kami no Mizo Shiru Sekai. It's been pretty cookie cutter so far.
Guy saves magical princess in exile. Guy gets magic powers. He meets a badguy who whoops his ass. He survives and resolves to get more power to whoop said badguy's ass.
The guy is your standard hothead. The girl is your standard helpless/useless sidekick. The badguy is your standard evil wizard type. Art's good but that's pretty much it.
This is pretty good so far.
I like the characters, the protagonist isn't completely generic like most shounen main characters.
It's a shame it didn't last that long, it really seems to have some potential.
