An extremely addicting manga. I'm up to chapter 36 right now. I couldn't stop myself from downloading the raws for volume 4 and 5. I just had to peek ahead. ^^ The storyline is highly riveting and the fight scenes are very cool... The author include lots of details about different techniques so its not boring.
All in all, I love Holyland and I can hardly wait for more.
im sorry for the spoiler but i just finish reading this and im crying like crazy .. thats a fucked up ending why they had to do that like seriously. thats crazy sob sob.. this is one awesome manga i have read a lot trust me but this is unbelivable.......
this manga made me shiver in terror from various aspect of human psych that reminds us of what we try to forget about ourself the dark corners of our soul
for example who hadn't sheevered when Izawa said:
these words ... these words
Im going to erase them
so no one find out
so no one sees....
this manga's been adapted to a live action drama in japan. that alone tells that this manga is a success.. kind of?
anyway, it's not my favorite manga, and i don't think it's bad either. there are better manga, but i could actually recommend this one if you're looking for a good fighting manga where the protagonist starts out weak and later becomes incredibly strong.
When i started reading this manga I thought Yuu was such a punce/wimp, but fortunately he is a prodigy at street fighting who becomes quite fearful in the later chapters. If your in the mood for a good action manga with emotional value you can't go wrong with Holyland.
KOUJI Mori is narutal storyteller. especially main char are very good. i cant stop reading. How can people continue to say this is a typical weakling beat the hell out of badass?. berserk is also monster-killing manga.
Amazing read. The art is fantastic and the story development is consistent. However, there are some alarmingly obvious plot holes. We have Izawa, who never gets stronger while Kamishiro gets on this power-up montage. Also, why did none of the characters ever call the cops to fix their problems, especially in the last arc? Overall though, it's really worth the read.
tho i don't fight like a street fighter and i'm not a fighter anyway, unless someone started it i'll fight back,
but i can understand Yuu feelings, especially the parents pressure <- hate this the most
