I just finished it up to the end of season 2. I can totally see why people love it

I have a severe hatred of side couples, and there was an entier season of itthat I had to adapt to so keep that in mind. Although I never fully adapted to the s2 side couple, it was so good and completely overshadwoed season one. the pacing was slightly inconsistent and too fast but its much better paced than MOST manhwas ive seen. I would def reccomend reading it and if worst comes to worst and you want to read only for season 2 (season 1 is good but a bit boring, too fluffy not much drama) you can littealrly skip directly to season 2, there isnt much tha you ABSOLUTELY need to know from season 1 for season 2. I think season one was probably a 7 out of 10 season 2 is a 8 to 9 out of ten. My favorite manwas are the ones that twist my heart and freak me out and this kind-of did it but in a sweet way, I think the manhwa is extremley well thoguht out tho. ITs a bit of a generic plot but done very well

Season 2 and 3 is when it shines

Season 1/first couple is very forgettable. It's the second couple (season 2 and 3) that is interesting. This review is only for the second couple. There is a lot of smut, however, there is a plot and exploration of some more complex themes for example, homophobia, religion, child sexual harassment. Now it is quite superficial and most of page count is focused on the smut. However, the smut is well done and the other elements of the story make things more interesting. I will add that while the relationship is toxic during the second season, the sex is always consensual and hot.

S1: confirmed bottom enjoyment. the top falls first for sure but i actually think this series does a rly good job of showing that the bottom falls rly hard too

S2-3: ok so s2 of banana scandal is the red flag and chasing arc so i feel like there rly isnt that much bottom enjoyment in it. s3 is crazy bottom enjoyment tho. u should read s2 to enjoy s3 but just so uk what ur getting into top is a GIANT asshole at the beginning of s2

s3e14 is some of the craziest smut i have ever read holy shit. the smut in their green flag era is CRAZY. confirmed bottom enjoyment

Redemption

This is a really good story. But what separates it from the rest is the redemption arc. I have never seen a more realistic depiction of it, let alone in yaoi stories.

The second couple MC, actually puts work into getting forgiven and shows that he means what he is saying. And at the same time, his counter part also shows significant growth!! Id give it a 10/10 just for that!

The main couple is also really cute :]

Story of two very different couples

S1: 9.5 - really nice plot, great main and side characters, really had it all. Minus 0,5 for the super sus beginning bcs like girl that's kinda illegal
S2: 10/10 - Wow, that was completely different from S1. In a normal scenery I'd give it minus points for the toxicness and the whole time skip at the end BUT WHAT! It really was amazing. The toxic behaviors weren't glorified and the sins were repelled. I also feel like the time skip gave out kinda a psychological jail for Taehwan. Time to really rethink everything as a whole and see his life empty without the love that Yeon was giving him for 6 years. Like tasting his own medicine? Really loved it.
S3: 9/10 Gut-wrenching healing story with a bit too much of smut.

After all the story was really good, sometimes felt like there was too much smut. It's crazy that Taehwan is at the same time the most handsome and the most annoying character. But I really need to admit that maybe he's not that stupid.

If you like clingy, naive, obsessive top, S1 is for you, their relationship developed quickly and consistently. While the second pair was complex; if you're into the bottom falling in love first with satisfying chasing arc, S2 is absolutely for you. Nonetheless, it was satisfactory and engaging enough to read...
However, the total catch here were the sex scenes!! it made me hooked on the story. Artist's style may not be comparable to others, but they surely did pour their job at giving us those insane scenes and positions, definitely would recommend!!

The characters are dynamic and complex (the first ML in season 1, Taehee, being the least fleshed out). The smut is plentiful and hot. Season 2 follows a toxic relationship and doesn't glorify it or try to make it seem romantic, like how many BL stories do. The nature of the relationship changes as the characters mature and learn (in a positive direction).

A lotttt of smut, but with a really good emotional storyline. It was a surprising nice read. With real fictional LGBTQ issues in society, and social circumstances.
