KOBA-SAN IS SO COOL?? THE COLLECTEDNESS OF AN ADULT?! Where can I get one of those! And I really love Yugi’s honesty and straightforwardness in love. He's not afraid to try again even after failing, which is worthy of praise.
Chap 4: They need some space to breathe for a bit 😔 I'm sure they're both in shock because the past keeps revisiting them but they're both moving forward in their own way.
Ending: Awww I like that everything wasn't solved immediately. It'll take a lot of time to heal but it's less lonely when you have someone to support you.
Mahk971’s review mentions how Koba goes from saying that he still loves Kobayashi and cant forget him— to entering a relationship with Yugi. I think what this story portrays is that you should value all of your relationships, and you shouldn't *have to * forget them at all. Did you skip the scene where Yugi addresses this with Koba, and reassures him?
Yugi doesnt have any resentment towards Kobayashi. That would be competing with a ghost. Again, he doesnt get compared to him either. Yugi isn't him, both he and Koba know that.
Kobayashi will always be in Koba’s heart. **I wouldn't want to be with someone who didn't honor a love they lost too soon. ** Someone who knows how to love like that should be valued, which is exactly what Yugi shows he understands.
Overall: Don't let the title image fool you, this is a very intense story. It handles may heavy topics like grief, loss, guilt, fear, trauma. But at the same time, it is a very gentle story. The art style shows the characters' emotions really well. And I don't think the ending was rushed, rather that one arc in the characters' lives ended and the many things and experiences after weren't illustrated for us. But this one arc was illustrated beautifully.
