...and the rape goes above and beyond Borderline H constraints by the last arc. Gangbangs, rape with inanimate objects, rape for dummies tips on the effect of electric shocks on vaginal muscle tension, triple penetrations, rivers of cum (!), hundreds of pages of penises (!!), forced drug use, mind break, etc. - that's just a preview of some of the gratuitous raep in there. And there's a loooot of it.
Not that there was a single example of healthy romance or intimacy in the whole damn thing, and that's out of a lot of sex shown...Forget the two, yes TWO, different people who like to kill their bedfellows for kicks (wait - three! - the third one just never got as far as bed), cuz there's even a scene of a girl forcing (!) a blowjob on a suffering and humiliated boy for no reason whatsoever. It makes zero sense and isn't necessary and the characters depicted don't even really tie into the plot, but the mangakas had the 'violated' boy thoroughly miserable from the experience, and seems like it was the whole point. WTF??!?!
Gratuitous sex, gratuitous violence, gratuitous sexual violence. Gratuitous gore. NO MEANING. Behind any of it.
PS and I wouldn't mind any of it, if it only served some sorta purpose. But it doesn't. For examples of:
- meaningful gore - see Gantz
- meaningful sex - Liar Paradox
- meaningful violence - why go far, Gantz again
- meaningful sexual violence - tough one, but doable... Mako (FUUGA) story 2: "Rooftop Scenery" [hentai warning... though actually MILDER and way more meaningful than this here crap]
PPS freakin LEARN how to make an antihero (and an opponent for said antihero) already, this is just pathetic... Even Hikikomori-san from NHK, complete with his sweatshirt saying "penis" in Russian, had more backbone, and the nemesis in his epic hallucinatory struggle against the friggin refrigerator and the masterminds behind it (the television) was less crazy than the one here. And that novel/series/manga franchise was about mental illness, for god's sake.
