Description

Yeonwoo is a perfectly competent secretary. However, he's secretly in love with his boss, an extreme alpha named Keith, who has zero interest in male omegas. After a traumatic incident leaves Yeonwoo fearful of all alphas but Keith, he resigns to hide at home. I wanna talk about their personalities:

I expected a slow build since the Alpha was straight, special episodes kinda throws me off when he said he loves him for a long time. Anyway, Keith is the epitome of emotional realisation and character development, whereas Yeonwoo is submissive yet aware of his boundaries. I adore him, he's a total classic omega but he became too frail and weak in special episodes, which is pissed me off.

The pacing lacks storytelling but it's written properly enough to enjoy, and the art style is superb, specifically if you enjoy power imbalances, redemption arcs, and a lot of s*x.

It may not be one of the top reads, but it is undoubtedly engaging and kinda worth reading.

Oh, trashy and cliche things can become pretty good if they hit your favorite tropes - ergo, this is why I enjoyed and liked this manhwa despite it's abundant flaws. Yep, the story is cliche, the MC was irritant as heck, the supporting chars are underdeveloped... But escape, mpreg and possessive alphas are just my cup of tea, so I devoured this with relish! And the art is gorgeous! Not gonna change your like, but more than edible! Turn off your brain and just enjoy it! And now to read the side stories!

Side stories are even better

Some cringe in the main story, but character motivations actually made more sense after reading the side stories. AND, the side stories are really good and make up almost half of this title. I read SSFUJOSHI's scan (highly recommended), and I'll be gobbling these us as Tapas releases them.

I don't know if I want to read the extras.

I wish they'd pick a goddamn genre and stick to it. Because none of it was done well.

It went from melodramatic soap opera to a literally scorching hot jaunt into wanna-be Hollywood action/adventure and finally ended as a saccharine Hallmark Channel romance complete with HEA Reconciliation Babu™

It's just...such bad plot development. The pacing felt like it was simply carried over from the novel into the manhwa wholesale and unedited. Psychological whiplash is the only souvenir I've got from this mess.

Oh, and people really need to brush up on their vocabulary. Keith isn't homophobic. He's fine with same-sex couples/relationships/etc. He's not fine with omegas, whose secondary sex are technically not the same as his. He's a bigot. There's actually a difference and it's an important one. (English isn't my first language but hopefully I explained it well enough.)

This is one of the best stories I've read.

Reading the manhwa originally with only the fan translation was really frustrating, so I ended up buying the novel. Unfortunately at the time, only one volume was available, so after reading that and waiting on the release of the second volume only for it to be pulled from the shelf time and time again, I'd lost interest. But I love this story and wouldn't mind reading it again. The novel is much more understandable because it is translated by the professionals. This manhwa now has an official translation on Tapas. I pretty much know the story from the fan translation and reading the first volume. But I'm supporting the author by purchasing chapters on there and waiting for the end before I binge read it to my heart's content.

Why It looks like one chapter is not connected with the next one ? The pov is Soo irritant. Main character don't been reasonable or coherent with his own thoughts.

Just like a novel, toxic without a consistency, everything just to add angst and to irritate..I don't recommend..the only good thing here is an artstyle, which was wasted on such a hopeless story... it's a pity

I like it more than I don't like it - there were moments I thought about dropping but many more where it was interesting enough to stick through with the story. It comes with a lot of BL tropes that will upset people but I still managed to be surprised or interested enough. I also don't mind those tropes or how twisted some characters. I wasn't aware the omegaverse marking would be reversed, that was a nice suprise. Some of the added qualities were pretty interesting, like the use of pheromones and the color of the eyes changing.

Yeon Woo was pretty confusing sometimes but I was still always on his side and Keith was very standard seme fare but not totally boring. Their beginning attraction was pretty shallow and superficial but by the end I could believe that they care very much about each other.
