When Hotaru contracted Zoomorphic Syndrome (the "Zoomies" for short) at a young age, she became a little more animal each day. After hearing a rumor that “Love cures the Zoomies,” she impulsively plants a kiss on her best friend, Yuzu, which sadly spells the end for their childhood friendship.

Years later, fate reunites Hotaru and Yuzu, but Yuzu doesn't recognize the fully Zoomorphized Hotaru! (Or does she...?) Either way, Hotaru is determined not to let this second chance slip away. Yuzu's gonna be her friend whether she likes it or not—and maybe even her girlfriend!
