Ineptly written story where everything is solved via Deus Ex Machina

Sample plot point and resolution: the characters are lost in the woods. They're running low on food and water. They're slowly getting picked off. They're starting to turn on each other. You, the reader, are brainstorming what they could do to scavenge food and water and maintain social cohesion. Sounds like a serious situation, right?

Nah, just have some experienced genius-level hikers randomly wander into the story carrying a bunch more food and supplies (this instantly fixes all the most pressing problems with zero effort).

This is how every situation in the manga is resolved. The characters are idiots who don't do or say anything intelligent or interesting (these people are dumb enough they would die in the woods even if there weren't any antagonists besides mother nature). Luckily for them every time they get into danger they get saved by the writer via Deus Ex Machina.

Yes, it's true some characters get killed off, but this doesn't really matter or add to the stakes in any way because a). they're not likeable, so I didn't care and b). if the group gets low on manpower, more healthy and strong characters randomly wander into the story like the aforementioned hikers.

There are definitely some potentially good ideas here that could have worked if there was a better writer at the helm. I like the mystery element, where they have to find out who among them is a traitor (horror and mystery is a nice combo). I was intrigued by the fact they're being driven up the mountain. After all, mountaineering can be plenty horrifying even when demons don't show up (and if you don't understand what I mean by that, you can checkout the book Into Thin Air from your local library). But, well, the story had the writer it had and this is the result.

C'est la vie.

Romance and realism are boring to death, this is the death to boring. Great!

I love the covers and the monkeys, but it's so unrealistic and poorly written.

I wasn't expecting much, and the first few chapters didn't impress me tbh, but it really does get better with each chapter. It's an excellent thriller, and the translations are great.

It's a 120 chapter story where most of the cannon fodder gets killed off in the first few chapters, so I was suprised it was able to keep the tension without getting too shounen-y (although the MC might as well be immortal). I was so into the story that I peeked at the raws. It stays great all throughout, and there are some surprising twists coming up, so don't hesitate to read.

I've read the first 32 chapters and the fact that it's very realistic in terms of it's own universe, makes it a very good manga, my cup of tea.

also, I couldn't find the scanlators email so I could thank him. so I'm writing this here. I can't thank you enough man, You're doing a great job, keep up the good work.
