The ending, the ""Mamura has always been my daytime shooting star"", and the whole love triangle thing is a complete crap.
I honestly loved it at first. It was a very enjoyable read at first. It changed when the author just threw in the Mazume ending when she obviously hinted Shizume ending in the previous chapters. What? The ""Mamura has always been my daytime shooting star"" thing? Bullshit. Yamamori, if you wanted to make Mazume the endgame, at least don't throw in the (actually) pointless hints of Shizume. I sound like I'm not happy because Mazume is the endgame, but trust me, it's beyond that. I'm ??? 'ed by Yamamori's terrible story writing.
To be honest, I really dislike Mamura... I mean, he hated all girls just because a freaking divorce? Really? And Suzume is like, the only exception? Nonsense. That made me cringe. This, in ANY way, DOESN'T excuse his terrible behavior around girls aka misogyny. Ew. He didn't have any character development, just like any other character in the series (except Sensei, of course). The only character who went through character development is like, only Sensei. For heaven's sake, Sensei deserved better. In the end, he wasn't a protagonist, and after going through the hell, he only got two beers. That's it. Sensei's ending. Woah, thanks, Yamamori. You couldn't have done better! (claps) I thought Sensei's role was important to the story. He was Suzume's first love story, the first person Suzume met in Tokyo, and he was the one with the title ""daytime shooting star""? Eh, but, I must be wrong. In the end, Sensei was nothing but a man who got two beers when he obviously was miserable for, like, 25+ chapters? Or is it 30+? Right.
So, yeah. That's it. Mamura was the daytime shooting star all along. Shishio? Who's Shishio? Tsk.
This series had a great potential, but sadly, it went downhill. It went into a complete nonsensical, crappy manga. You will waste your time if you read this, except you read this manga only for its art. Sorry, but I'm not sorry.
