Easily one of my top 5 mangas of all time, and I've read many many mangas, of many genres. Still waiting for that epilogue to be translated though.

Plenty of action and some comedy. Although there was a flashback that consumes 4 volumes, it does not detract from the story or the action. Rather, it draws the reader more into the character backgrounds and history of Aji Tae.

Also, one cannot really compare to Claymore in terms of awesomeness due to tastes. SAO just has more likeable characters from the very beginning (except for maybe Ban ja) than Claymore.

The story is excellent as it is and there is enough character development to drive on the plot without sounding overdone. Also, one cannot go wrong with the action due its most excellent art style.

over all... it' a nice read... but...for some reason i thought it was a pretty boring manga :/ the story is pretty good and deep but the action, character development part are pretty weak, if you compare this with claymore or Berserk neither the story, character develp, and action is up to par. another thing i dont understand is.... why is this considered as a comedy? i didnt laugh at all... well... overall if you are looking for a manga that are strong on story and drama, this is a good read, but if you are looking for something that have action/fantasy or adventure, go read claymore and Berserk 😮

was great until 'deeply rooted tree' arc. flashbacks are nice and stuff but it's so friggin long that it started to annoy me in the middle of volume 13. i decided to look at the raws to see when the real deal starts again and i was like 'wtf'..

i mean.. 4 volumes for a flashback. just put the crap at the beginning of the story

same reason i stopped reading tenjou tenge.

guess i will pick it up again when etc reaches the last volume to see the conclusion.

After the first 3 Volumes, I stopped reading for a while cause it has an evolving story which isnt the best at the beginning...
After picking it up again, I felt a greed of reading more which rarely happens...

If you wanna have a Manga which starts off really nice you should think about reading this, but after a getting through the first volumes you will fall in love!

Great character stories, well drawn and finished (except the translation ^_^)!
What more do u need...

I gave it a 9/10 just because of the beginning!

Started really great but likely it's reminding me of Samurai Deeper Kyo, which in my opinion is one of most confusing mangas who lacks ways of keeping reader entertained. Hopefully the rest scanlated volumes will prove me wrong.

Well at first I was sceptical about this manga.I thought it will be a simple stereotypical shonen manhwa,but I was really wrong.The plot was a little slow at first.No specific backgrouund info was given and it was a sort of hero comes to towb-summons soldiers-defeats the bad guys-goes on to another town kinda thing.It seemed that way at first to me.But then the plot started to pick up speed and when it got to the part when we see what actually happened to Munsu in the past and reasons behind why he was fought as a traitor started coming to light,
and aspecialy his relationship with the girl he loved I was really addicted to it and
want more.It is sometimes difficult to judge if Munsu is a good or bad person.He isn`t the typical knight in shining armor protecting everything that lives.Sometimes his actions may seem cruel and wrong but thats because of his iron will to judge things coldly as they are and not to rely on ones emotions.Also the actions of some characters are portrayed from different angles and it often happened that to a character who seemed evil to me at first I started to feel pity.
In short this is one great manga with deep and I mean DEEP story and interesting plot.You will be a #$%#(insert disrespectful words here) if you dont read it!

Well, this is one of those great series like Berserk, Claymore, Samurai X, etc in the way the plot twists and turns and you find you'll have a great anxiety while reading (which makes it so great 😀 ) It may start off slow, and speed up in the middle, but you will definitely come to learn (and be fascinated by) Munsu's history. A real page turner, people you find as the good guys might be coerced/twisted into the villains and those you thought were evil may actually of been good. Its plots like these that make for an epic series and this one is no exception. The art is also great, now if only we can get more of it. But its two thumbs up for Shin Angyo Onshi 🙂

A must read for any manga reader, this manga takes the enjoyment level of manga to the next level (along with Berserk & Claymore).
There is not much to say about this, the comments and review(s) speak for themselves. One of the few manga i rate a 10!
Also, it's highly recommended to read the review written by Unproductive. Easily one of the best reviews in this site.

k, the manga has really interesting characters.
of course the art is great. Also the story itself is really interesting.
Plus one thing we all love more than anything else, some really cool action.
The fight scenes are awesome.
In short this manga has a little bit of everything and a lot of "interesting".

It just makes you read, read, read and enjoy it.
