I agree with the bottom two comments. The MC would have been better without the reincarnation. As a reincarnated assassin, he was bullied and suffered most of his childhood. With his previous life experiences as the "number one killer," his character appears even more pathetic. I've only read the first twentyish and it has become slightly tolerable once he began to level up. In comparison to Otherworldly Evil Monarch, this reincarnated MC assassin is laughable. He doesn't make any use of his former life's skills. He might as well had been a hermit. I'll still give the first 50 chapters a shot to see if it's just a slower start novel.

Got around to reading a few more chapters but it's still meh. MC is bland and other characters are typical NPCs. Fight scenes are okay but character development is lacking. Readable for a generic shounen wuxia. Maybe it shines after 100 chapters... since I'm only around 40ish.

hmmm... so far (first couple of chapters) I really don't know what to think of the MC except to think that he's a bit pathetic...kind of agree with Sircus' comment for the moment. I mean if he's the king of killers why did he only gain confidence to actually train and fight once he entered Wudao. I get that there's a level of difference from the skill between people who haven't entered Wudao but come on, you might as well call it his delusion that he's the "king" of killers if he can't even at least fight back a little - or resist. (Maybe this is just my bias point of view since i've read other stories where the MC at least tried without having to be part of the "power ranks" meaning those who can cultivate)
Will update later if it gets better (which it probably does but still hmph :T )

edit Well I can say that this story isn't too bad and its fighting scenes do improve, I just wish that the author spent more time developing the whole "king of killers" reincarnation thing. At this point (chapter in the twenties) I can definitely say that the reincarnation part of the story can just disappear. The story might have actually worked better if the MC just trained his martial arts and body harder than others cause he couldn't cultivate - it would certainly explain why he has an "extremely rich combat experience". The author spends too much time describing his strength in jin and although the author constantly emphasises that the MC has "extremely rich combat experience" I have yet to actually see any "number one killer" killing techniques. If you ask me they're more like the moves of a stereotypical gangster who relies on external forces to win.

With my rant being said, the overall story isn't too bad, but if you're someone who honestly gets super into the fight scenes, then this one may not be for you.... or maybe it will.

I will wait to rate it since Im only on ch 6 but our MC must be the weakest assassin in the world to not be able to kill his opponents just because they are a higher lvl. The sudden brain surgery he had must have happened in chapter 1.5 that we never got to see. He is currently suffering delusions that he is the best killer to walk the earth. He conveniently ignores that he got robbed every week since he got his first allowance. Does this honestly sound like a "Smart, Ruthless and Cool" MC as described in the categories?
