This is an absolute pointless read. It was Axed-kunned and you can tell it happened earlish cause the last like 5 chapters are a rush to get to a conclusion (Well what they think is one).
We have a MC who likes to sleep, to a level that's actual insane and should have psychological help about (Later we find out indeed it is trauma that causes this).
We have a FMC that likes MC for no reason (Later we find out it's literally for no reason, just that he liked sleep and told her while half asleep that she should find something she likes just as much).
We have a Childhood friend that's introduced halfway into the series and barely in it that likes MC for minor reasons but also didn't interact with MC since he was like 4yrs old(Her role was clearly gonna be larger but basicaly the chapter after she is introduced is when you get that axe-kun crunch).
This "Love" triangle is hopeless, none of the characters are endearing nor does it make sense anyone would love the MC for being how he is. Also noone in MC's life up until near the end of this series ever thinks "Hey his over sleeping is abnormal and happened post his mother dying maybe he needs a good shrink" which is just unbelievable.
We get a 1 page epilogue in a very short final chapter that shows he picks FMC in the end but we have no reason why this happens. Both females in the triangle are Stalkers and in no way would and do I want MC to get with them.
Now you must be asking "Why do you not use their names?" Well one issue is MC's first name is never mentioned, if you read the pilot chapter with is a condensed chapter 1 is the only time its mentioned. As a result I never even tried cause the mangaka also didn't care about the names.
You might also note I haven't talked about the progression or the plot really? Well that's cause they don't really exist, We were in standard romcom wheel spin from the word go with repeated jokes (that continued even in the axed rush) with no progress and no real plot outside of girl wants boy to like her. Even in the final chapter the MC is still as sleepy as ever but only now just thought about why he sleeps so much and thats it. He has no romantic feelings to either girl (Although FMC makes him fall asleep faster on her thighs and he doesn't know why) and until even the end he hated how they kept interrupting his sleep.
Why would I want either of these Stalkers to get with MC? Yes both are stalkers, Childhood friend spent 2 years following him and observing from a distance while new girl harrasses him constantly and stalks him to get any time alone with him she can when he clearly hates it. It's all so dumb. Man this review is long/big but I hate this kind of thing and why I rail against trope romcoms even being published. Come up with something interesting and give character motivations, personalities and character arcs. All this stock crap isn't even a good time fill. I marathoned all these chapters at once cause I discovered it at chapter 14 on MD in new releases (So I knew it had to be axed cause romcoms are never this short normally) and was blown away how stupid the writing was and how it even lasted as long as it did.
2/10 and thats only cause it at least showed which girl he picked in the end. I'd give it a 1/10 in spirit though cause of how useless of a read this is.
