A story about a girl being kept in isolation in a world that appears to have experienced an earthquake and nuclear disaster.

This story, told in simple drawings, packs more horror into its few chapters than anything I've found in a long time. KYOU Machiko's drawing is incredibly expressive for being so basic. It made me feel the characters' pain and uncertainly, and the suspense it created was so intense it had me turning the pages as fast as I could. Very fine work!
The first chapters were strange (a kind of cross between allegory and non-sense), but funny and kind. I thought it it would go on like that, since it matched well the drawing style. But as the world gets unveiled, the story gets darker. I had to slow down my reading to explore the cruel parable inside the the human tale.
