Some of the stories are pretty interesting, but also quite disturbing. I think the story about the girl who was kept alive with her limbs severed is going to stay with me for a while. I think they even made a movie out of that one. shudder just thinking about it

the separate stories aren't really suspenseful or 'scary' as much as they are gorey. it's a decent read, with some stories just odd and kind of uninteresting. as the previous poster said, the art can be considered 'ugly', but it actually fits with the mood... even though i feel like each character looks practically exactly alike, regardless of gender or age.

Stories are pretty good, but the art is very unusual. I hate to say the word "ugly" but the drawing style suits the feelings in the stories. The creepy little bug-guy, Ocha (supposed to be the author's character), reminds me of strange Rod Serling from the Twilight Zone!
