Description

This is a very immature story. The characters are very shallow. To the point that even the ML questions himself about wtf he was doing. In less than 16 chapters he is heads over heels for FL for no discernable reason.

Annoyingly the shallow reasons he decided he's in love with her is told to us in ch 42. Told. Not shown.

In ch 16 he actually became bewildered, asking out loud to no one in particular about why he gave a blank check to a divorce lawyer and telling FL about a secret mansion she can stay in. When his aid asks if the aid should check into the FL's background because this is really bizarre behavior on the ML's part the ML almost verbally takes his head off.

I'm really disappointed at the tone, too. The FL uses the exact same cutesy manipulation, mannerisms and logic as the OG!FL to get her way. She has the right to be angry and sad and walk away from her husband but she has no rights to call out the OG!FL considering her own gross behavior.

If the cutesy act was just to mirror the OG!FL and show why it's so off putting that would have been amazing writing but nope. FL really acts like this even when not trying to accomplish her goals. I don't understand how the ML who's shocked and disgusted over OG!FL's behavior falls for FL's version of it?

And worst part? Everyone around FL is gassing her up the exact same way the Cassius Dukedom is gassing up the OG!FL. So, what FL hates in her old life she's perpetuating in her new life, only now she is the center of attention. I guess, that's the critical difference.

This was so gross to read with her saccharine "✨️Oh, no~!✨️" behavior towards the sycophantic female bodyguard in ch 23.

She also takes the OG!FL's "accomplishments" and people and plot points as her own. FL is really out there using people the exact same way that OG!FL did upon regressing. Unlike the majority of OG!FLs in other stories with this plotline FL doesn't even try to justify it in her mind like, "even if you don't help me in my divorce I'd still help find your family or make a fortune or whatever." Nope.

I'm not as sympathetic to FL as I could probably be if she went about this in a completely different way. She should be cunning and manipulative, don't get me wrong, but she shouldn't become a carbon copy of OG!FL.

I don't know how to explain it better than that. Just, the creativity and ingenuity is not there to elevate this story to where it's potential should reach.

Something different than the usual

I really love that I cannot stop myself from turning the pages(chapters). Like I said in the title, it's different than the usual manga to me bcs it showed how the divorce proceedings wasn't cut and dried bcs you'll realise that these ppl was clinging on her just bcs of one thing and it also showed scenes in the court divorce. The FL has a backbone and did not waiver from her decision to divorce the young master. It's really grating to see how the spoiled adopted daughter of the cassius family manipulated her dad and brothers to infantilize her that they were like hypnotised to revolve their worlds around her.

Love the artworks and the FL's dresses and styles were so stunning. Can't wait to read the S2 bcs now we know who the real villainess is.

There is only one thing that I enjoy about this manhwa, is that she said divorce and she's not going back on it.

I also like how the story challenges the female lead buff... However, it is juvenile and basic. The storyline in itself has potential but it has been taken in such a... immature manner. The characters are flat and just... Give me back the time I spent writing this review, reading it and looking it up on here.

I do recommend if you just want a mindless read though. It had some... kinda interesting parts.

It's not stupid, but so basic and dumbed down that it reads like a children's fairy tail.

"josei refers to manga marketed to an audience of adult women"
this being tagged josei is a damn disaster, well, so is the series.
