This manga did not go how I thought it would. For starters, Chouko only remains in her shut-off state for a few pages before a time skip shows her being healed. Not a bad thing, just I thought it would go on for a bit longer. But whatever.
I didn't realise till after I was 8 chapters in, that this manga is classed as psychological. I tend to stay away from that genre for the very reason that it often makes ZERO sense to me or hits too close to home. But thank god, this is a light sort of psychological manga. To be honest, Kei is the reason it's termed as psychological. I don't get some of him. That depressed state of him . . . What? Just what 😕 ?
But the story! It was exactly how I was hoping it would turn out (OK, definitely not EXACTLY, but I was routing for a older guy, younger girl, romance within family setting.). It was pure! So freaking pure! The romance scenes are . . . well, they don't happen often and are short but sooo sweet! And I thought that there might be some drama when Iori popped up! But what the hell happened there?!?! -_-
She's some messed up woman who Akiyama is childhood friends with and has some sick desire to have Kei suffer?? Like what the heck is wrong with you????? And then it turns out she did this cause she's IN LOVE WITH HIM??? Excuse me, but that seriously came out of nowhere!!! No signs until Akiyama says it! Woman, go die!
I highly recommend people read this. You'll rarely come across such a pure and sweet story! Plus I guess you could say it's a good read for those who have just started or want to read psychological manga? Well, give it a try. Ignore what anyone says about it being boring. They have no idea what they're talking about. I can promise you that if you're not hooked by the 4th chapter, by the 8th chapter you will be! This is a manga which builds up! You sink slowly into it before you realise how much you've read! So read it and if you've tried reading 10 chapters and feel bored, well, at least you tried reading half. DON'T YOU DARE GIVE UP BY THE 4TH CHAPTER!!
