The two oneshots were very different, one being dark and the other fluffy, but were very interesting reads. "Hai..." was a tiny bit difficult with the similar appearance between the characters, but the artist kept them fairly separate and it wasn't too hard to tell which was which. This was an interesting short story of one-sided love which spanned a length of time.
It is fairly dark and has a twist at the end which I definitely didn't see coming. This is the one with the rape tag, so be warned if that concerns you.
In contrast, Okubyou was a touching story focusing on a man taking in a runaway that he finds in front of his restaurant. It's a lovely story, heavily influenced by circumstances from his teenage years.
This one deals with past homophobic behavior by a side character.
I've looked into the manga and verified that these two oneshots are only extra stories and that there is a main title story which hasn't been translated yet.
The oneshot "Hai Kaburi no Otoko" was really... boring. It's like it's trying so hard to be surprising and edgy but tbh I could barely tell the characters apart and you didn't really get any depth whatsoever in the characters, so no matter what they did I really didn't care whatever happened. The art was nice though.
"Okubyou GauGau-kun" was a lot better! There was a real story present and I enjoyed it a lot for a start. But as it came to a conclusion I could no longer ignore the fact that the maincharacter must have been a true idiot not seeing through the disguise and the whole story kinda fell flat.
