Description

Whenever Tomo gets a girlfriend, his selfish childhood friend Hideaki comes between them. Now that Tomo has a new girlfriend, he's on the lookout, but nothing happens. Thinking the lack of intervention strange, Tomo then discovers that Hideaki has a new lover—a man! Maybe he was just showing off, but Tomo can't forget how gentle his friend looked when he was worrying about love.

A straight guy easily moved by kindness and affection and an egotistical hottie with a strong desire to monopolize. They can't go back to the time when they thought they knew everything—a romance blossoms between friends.

I was confused by the reviews so I went ahead and read it.
This is not by any means a story of cute start of a romantic relationship, however it is indeed a good story about manipulative desperate love and possessiveness. Not every love story starts with good terms or "proper" process, this one for example started by a series of manipulations, dishonesty and possessiveness.
I'm really glad I read it, it's a breath of fresh air showing a total different aspect of relationships and feelings and a unique character (Hideaki), even though I would've loved to see more of his background and what led to that behavior of his, being possessive yet insecure to the point of manipulation.
It was a shaky start of a love story between these two and their relationship will surely be hard but Tomo is apparently well aware of the struggles ahead given his knowledge of Hideaki's character.

the characters need more development, tho. hideaki is the most "developed" character even tho there's no reason for why he has to act like a dick to tomo all the time. it was never explained that it was out of jealousy or spite or one of those things. a flashback to how he fell in love in the first place would have been nice. it's very obvious, however, that he's head over heels in love with tomo and his realization of this fact drives the little plot there is.

tomo is barely developed and his feelings for hideaki are never made completely clear. he seems to want to be with a girl just to be with one and have some affection and has those annoying "what are these feelings?" thoughts whenever hideaki does something dick-ish. it seems like he likes him...but for doing all those bad behaviors? meh.

my favorite part of this manga was tomo trying his best to support hideaki in his "relationship". that part was the sweetest and the highlight of the manga, and it should have been the central part of the plot. everything else is a mess, frankly.

I liked it, I love the art style I enjoyed the plot so freaking much.
Ok the main characters were kinda annoying at first but then when the story was progressing it turned out really great BUT. what got me really bad was when hide tried to put that "thing" by himself I was so shocked like bullocks! what the heck is he doing? he's the bloody seme! wait NO! don't do that!! ugh.

I love when ukes are strong and can fight back but I don't like when he did those things, he was really annoying at the first chapters. and tomo this dude doesn't have his true feelings cleared at all.

If you think this is cute, you should have your head checked. The uke is possessive, manipulative af and a psychopath. The only good thing about this is the art and I'm sure most people like this because they're "hotties", otherwise, you'd be disgusted.

But well, a pretty face is enough to make an abusive relationship become a little "tease" and it's not like he's bad, he's just a "tsundere"... and the romanticizing and the euphemism go on and on.

I gave the first chapter a try and was immediately turned off, only to be tempted by the positive comments here to come back to the manga with a second try. That was not a wise decision. I don't know what's worst: the fact that both main characters are so unlikable I could hardly care about their story, or that their convoluted relationship was literally built on deceit and emotional manipulation, or the bizarre conversion of a hetero as straight as an arrow into a gay guy in the span of 2 chapters in the most nonsensical fashion.

But seriously, there's nothing healthy and sustainable about this so-called relationship. It started with light-haired guy's disguise to lure black-haired guy in with a false "vulnerable" side, but what seals the deal is that the latter actually takes the bait right away because he's fascinated with this new side of his newly-discovered gay friend. In other words, they're manipulative and superficial and both horrible human beings who turned out to be rather perfect for each other.

Once you get past the first chapter

When I read the first chapter I thought it was going to be the typical "guy who bullies the one he likes" (which I have grown to dislike because most of the time there's rape or some sort of mental abuse), but it made a 180 in the end and I actually really liked it.

The art is very nice and the sex scene was pretty realistic as far as yaoi sex goes.

Almost always in the "bullies the one they love" stories the guy doing the bullying is on top so seeing Hideyuki being the uke was a plesent surprise, and very refreshing.

Some parts were honestly confusing especially at the start, and i honestly didn't really like the uke? Also, i think it would have been better if the uke seme roles were reversed.

i didnt expect much, but it got better and i totally adored them together!!!~~ i think it needs a continuation!!!~ the art was nice, uncensored, sexy smutty bits, the super hot Hideaki was lovable even if he was really selfish xD and Tomo was kind and cute, a really nice seme-kun~ he seemed weak but somehow it wasnt bad, i mean i dunno i loved how it ended and i WANT MORE!!~~ <3

I wanted Hideaki as seme so bad!!!! Tomo is just so much more uke!!! It started out so good and had me all hype up but then suddenly crushes my vibe. ;((( I still like it, but it would have been better if Hideaki was seme.
