So this one is actually pretty enjoyable, IF You stick with the right translations. So hefty recommendation that I highly suggest you all deal with: meraki-scans as long as possible (like maybe 'til 305 or something?) and then unfortunately for a while it's pretty bad. After a bunch of chapters though look for the ones done by PilYoong. I'm not sure if there's a gap, but there are a bunch of trash ones after meraki stops by randos. I got suckered into reading them, and regretted not immediately knowing to look for PilYoong. While he (she? they?) aren't perfect, they're loads better than the trash speed-uploaders who use pure machine translate. They offer translator notes, explanations, and even will briefly help you remember when you last saw this minor character at times.
Your welcome, really. Stick with the good translations and your enjoyment will be miles better.
Anyway, It starts off pretty zombie like, but quickly goes off the rails, where 'Virus power' might as well be magic or qi. The opening arcs are pretty episodic at times, but the story vastly improves later on in terms of cohesion and plot-threads. I also really appreciate the romance, with the MC looking for his past-life's lover, and yet a slightly older teacher throws a wrench in the plans. The MC is devoted though, but as with all serious feelings, issues do abound. It frankly takes a LONG time for the MC to even find his past-life-lover though. The art is at times comical and at times serious, but it never gets to the point of being bad. One of the 'main party members' is a hamster, and he can transform into this bipedal wolverine type thing, and it can get pretty hilarious.
The plot continues to improve, with various threads connecting and the cast not growing super large. There tends to be new faces in every arc, but for the most part they're unimportant, and many will end up dead or alive (presumably) but never mentioned. All in all, the core cast are the only ones that matter.
So yeah, TL;DR. Actually pretty good, though less about zombies and more about post apocalyptic monsters and qi/magic/etc. But DEFINITELY find the right translators.
