Very interesting premise for dimensional traveling through movie worlds.
I'm realizing it's not the first of its kind (Terror Infinity came first in 2007), but it's definitely much more well developed. MC is a smart mature/cunning individual and is NOT OP. Has to careful build his team around him to get through missions. The world building is really detailed, a LOT of movie lore involved, and very open world exploration. Kudos to the translators as well for trying to get the pirate accents down, pretty hilarious.

The premise sounds cheesy as fuck. However, it isn't as if the mc is becoming best buds with Harry Potter or something stupid like that. The volume just takes place in the same setting.
Unique aspects of the novel:-
MC decides to become a main tank rather than a damage dealer. This means he has to defeat the majority of his opponents via cunning rather than just beat them down.
MC isn't insanely lucky. A lot of the items he gets are a load of crap and it isn't as if he is stumbling across a legendary inheritance every other volume.
MC actually forms a party with useful people. Since he isn't growing at an absurd rate due to a legendary inheritance, the people in his party can actually be useful for a sustained period of time.
Volume 2 is fairly terrible for whatever reason.
