High-school student Ao decides he’s in love with Ryoumei-san, a priest at the local shrine and Ao’s childhood friend. Not one to beat around the bush, Ao immediately tells Ryoumei he wants to do perverted things together, but it will take more than a little persuading to get the shocked Ryoumei into bed. Between bad advice, romantic rivals, and Ryoumei’s scruples, there are many obstacles in the path of true love.

Note: Shunpei from Koi Cha no Osahou appears in this story as the main character's best friend.

Read if you like yaoi

For yaoi, it's OK. The main character gets really annoying after a while and some of the lines get repetitive. However, everything you love about yaoi, it's there. Decent but not a brilliant or lovable series.

While I liked Koi Cha no Osahou, this is a complete miss for me, I don't find it cute / sexy / endearing / adorable or whatever, instead I find it cringy. Oh well...

I didn't like Ao that much, he was great at times but others i could not stand him, and i'm ok almost all the time with the ukes, but i guess (based on what i read in the last page) that is what the mangaka was looking for, not an uke that is loved by everyone. Though he seemed to be very well liked by everyone in the story lol. Even so, it was funny and very cute at times, i just cannot believe the amount of chapters 18 seems pretty long for a childhood friend-becomes lover-story.

I have to say I don't really like long series of light BL in general. Too much builtup almost got associated with too much drama. This, however, is a delight.

The built-up feels quite smooth, I don't get choked directly with drama, the characters goes beyond stereotypes, and compared to her other multi-volume work, Tea for Two, the difference goes very, very far.

She still got a problem in pacing, tho; the story feels kinda....prolonged, at times, and that's why it's 9.

it is so sweet! i love the uke he is not a virgin and he is not afraid of his sexuality, and he is physically strong! i love Shuu-chan and how how he tries to get the main characters together, its so funny. although, i secretly think he just likes messing with people. lol

This is hilarious. I wanted this to finish the scanlations first before I read this but I got back reading sensei's works again and this is the last one left.

Anyway about the manga, I just read up to the latest scan (chap 8). Story and character development are great. I mean, they are well developed. The art is gorgeous. The seme looks hot. Ao's expressions are shown well.

This is a very enjoyable read. I can't wait for more scans to come.

I really like this one. I loved most of Sakuragi Yaya's works, but this one is different, as one of hers and by itself.

[might spoil, espicially for those who are familliar with the manga-ka's works...]

I really loved the fact that the uke wasn't a "stupid virgin".
It's so cute how he wants to do "pervy things", and thinks like he does with his cute face (looks different form how the manga-ka usually draws the uke).

Really funny. And I hope to see more chapters soon^^

Why?

Just... why? Why would the mere prospect of bottoming suddenly turn a straight guy gay? Why would anyone be as stupid as Ao when it comes to relationships in modern society? Why is his friend the biggest idiot on the planet? Why can't Ryoumei just reject him wholeheartedly instead of guilt-tripping his way towards consent? Ugh... just... why?

The manga still gets a 4 from me though because I like the side-story and Shuuji is just amazing in everything he's in. The art is okay, the dialog somewhat natural, etc etc. I just don't like Ao, Ryoumei, Ao's friend or the weird line of consent the mangaka is treading.
While reading I just hope Ryoumei will come to his senses and stop seeing Ao. It's annoying.

I cannot, simply cannot, understand why is this well liked. Apparently, Sakuragi Yaya does which is why this is pretty staple for her.
From story to art nothing works for me. While the art may have been tolerable in another setting with this cast and dialogues just no. There is absolutely zero character development, the story is just badly done and none of the characters are likable. Except for Shuuji. That was what gave me the strength to keep on going.
