Plot-like it's genious. The way it's done - also genious. Art - very very good.
Best incest BL I've read so far.
Very mature, very realistic.
It's one of the few manga titles that I rate a 10. A perfect 10.
I feel like I can read it again and again, especially with a sad song in the background like Mizutamari lol.
To sum it all up - I wish every shounen ai/yaoi manga would be exactly as good as this.

but never took the dangerous leap.

The author could've taken this the next step, after accepting each other's complicated feelings, making them live together in their own bubble of something luring and forbidden .... But she didn't and we're left with a shallow experience of brotherly love

Okay i love this. Even for people who don't feel comfortable with BL or incest, the story is about the emotions of a very pure love so I still think it's suitable.

I really like the ending (ofc it was really good so I reeeally want more), I don't think it's open-ended (especially with the extra)

they decided to be okay staying together and people are confused because there's still such a strong reference to "brother" but it was explained in the previous chapters that they can't separate one part from another, so even if they pursue romance the other party is still their "brother" and they recognize that

I love the pacing and the storytelling and the art and the characters way too much, everything about this is so good. The emotions are raw and poignant and it's a really beautiful read, I recommend it.

No, ERASE THAT!!!! EVERY PAGE GIVES ME A BITTERSWEET FEELINGS. BY THE END OF THE CHAPTER IT MAKES ME WANT TO CRY!!! EUGHHH THIS MANGA IS WELL EXECUTED!!! THO I AM CONFUSED BY THE ENDING. DID THEY DECIDE TO LIVE TOGETHER AS BROTHERS, OR AS LOVERS??!?? IT HAS TO BE ONE OR THE OTHER BECAUSE I HATE HALF-ASSED CONCLUSIONS.

AND I JUST LOOOOOVE HOW THIS MANGAKA FOCUSES ON THE EMOTIONS OF THE PEOPLE INVOLVED RATHER THAN SMUTTY NONSENSICAL SCENES (thank u for the existance of Shounen-ai)!!! I DONT REALLY MIND INCEST OR WHATEVER (gives 0 fk, just don't give me rape/non consensual sex/stockholm syndrome/emotional manipuling/very pushy characters pls) BUT INCEST MANGA USUALLY INVOLVES RAPE SO I WAS KIND OF SURPRISED THAT NONE OF THOSE mediocre in a bad way ELEMENTS WERE PRESENT IN THIS CASE!!!

Cutest incest BL ever

I think the only 2 incest BLs that were done right imo were Ike Reibun's 'Not Equal' and this super adorable manga over here.
Not only was the art amazing, the plot and the characters' train of thoughts are very logical and real-life esque, and since there was so much focus on the characters' emotions, it makes you root for them. I'm not a great fan of incest but this manga touched me nonetheless!

Very rarely do you find a series that actually takes time to adress the complications of forbidden relationships. I admittedly steer clear of these sorts of relationships but this was done so well. The protagonists are well developed and the art was breathtaking. My ONLY qualm with this peice is that the side characters were way TOO ACCEPPTING.

I just have to say this technically isn't 'incest' because it's not yaoi, and therefor no sex between brothers occurs (but they do kiss...). That said this was a very nice piece of work. The brothers' relationship was portrayed realistically and I felt bad for both of them to some degree; you can't always choose who you fall in love with. It ended on a hopeful note, so I was not disappointed 🙂

Seems like they plan on living together forever as brothers (and possibly more... probably will be more) to me.
I still can't believe he said that to his mother. lmfao

I love Tagura Tohru's delicate writing; it's exquisite.

The elder brother's bad boy vibe is nice too.

but the characters and their bond could've had more development, yeah.

when others are so accepting of their relationships! i hate incest stories like that. the art is nice, but their dialogues kinda convulated, sometimes it takes a whole page just to say something simple. not good for any impatient people.
