Description

And then the narrative dumbed FL down, making her go for honor before reason. Why? What's the point?

That kind of dangerous behavior and thinking is NOT taught in modern armies, especially not their potential leaders. Of all the things she remembered and implemented why did she discard this very obvious one?

I was complimenting what a strong, pragmatic woman the FL was and then she went and

refuse the Crown Prince's offer to help?

All respect I had evaporated in an instant.

This may be a novel to her but

the knights who follow her are still living, breathing people. She even gave them a rousing address before battle, reminding them of the people they'll leave behind if they don't give this war their all.

What's the point of bringing all of THAT up if you

refused the help from the exact one person who would have saved your men's lives in the first place? What the fuck.

I'm so, so, so glad the ML was like, "nah. This is war. Shit's unpredictable so I'll just show up even after she refused my help."

For once ML's high handedness works out.

The end there is so disappointing.

Oh, yes, a mysterious magic circle in the treasonous Empress's room! Lemme touch it real quick!

The main characters were really good, a power couple that I needed so badly, the FL is strong and wise, she doesn't care to dirty her hands and a decent/greenflag ML (not a trashy one which are so common and popular lately), the plot might be cliché but is satisfying to follow, also the romance is really cute but slow, thankfully both are each other first in everything. Anyway, I love it.

The FL is a baddie, she actually has so much aura I love her. Love how even after transmigrating, she sticks to her military roots and exercises her power and authority.

Plus, in chapter 11 she fights alongside the ML to take down criminals, it’s fantastic. Shes murderous. I adore her violence 😭♥️ plus her banter with the ML is so entertaining, it’s great. At one point ML tells her she looks great in her outfit, and she goes “I know” I love herr

Her weapons also aren’t for show! She actively defends herself and attacks. Eg threatening to cut off her stepmothers wrist, and holding her sword against her hand. Eg 2 stabbing criminals. Beautiful

The art is okay and the story is okay but nothing stands out. Nothing's super intriguing or funny and 30 chapters in the male lead has no personality (nor do the other male characters). Zero romance as well, the only reason any of the guys like her is because as a level-headed skilled decent person she's "different" and "interesting". I also agree that since everything goes so smoothly for her there's no conflict or tension and it's like, why am I reading this.

I'll give it another ten chapters but unless something changes I'll be dropping this bc it's not even enjoyable to read, just too meh

Average "Strong Female Lead" Story

It's an average "strong female lead" story.

The men all simp for her immediately. I think the simping was too fast with not enough sufficient buildup.

Every ML: "She's different, tough, and level-headed. I like her. I'm going to start spending time around her and simping today."

The story goes very fast and is possibly too direct. It would have been more interesting with some mystery, intrigue, and misunderstandings.

The romance feels forced a lot.. I don't feel any chemistry

FL feels like a fodder to ML

She can't win anything in front of ML, 'she always lose to ML'

Very one-sided, ML always forcing through

As of June 9, 2023, I just finished 23 chapters so far.. what I can tell you is that I was hooked for the first few chapters because I liked her past life as a commander in an army. Sure she has taken good control over the duchy quicker than I imagined and she got three (?) guys pining over her soon so I find it rushed (maybe cause I liked slow burns). And the 'original' protagonist gives eerie and villainy-vibe..yeah that kind of trope now.

Somehow it reminded me of The Reason She Lives as a Villainess as my interest faded over the more chapters I'm reading.

As of April 2025, from 6 gave it a 7. It was a fair read but it's something I wouldn't reread again. The ending was a nice touch somehow.

I'm probably expecting this to end at around 50-60 chapters based on the pacing.

MLs are drawn more beautiful than FL. Probably the only thing I liked seeing because of their designs.

As of March 2025, Webtoon just had its Season Finale for this. Overall, it's a fair read but nothing too exciting. It's just one of those common plots.
