This series has been on hold many times, and now the author has decided to stick to volumes instead of serializing.
From Tokyopop:
Welcome to Faeries' Landing, a place where the real world and the faerie realm collide. Sixteen-year-old Ryang doesn't realize that supernatural beings descend on his town at night, but when he stumbles on a group of faeries bathing, he ends up becoming guardian of Fanta, a grounded--and very fetching--faerie. Good luck for those who wants to start up this manhwa! No, actually by reading it, you guys can actually gain some experience, like me, such as: most manhwa have good beginnings then they just keep... rolling in the deep of... a particular, typical shithole for stupid making-it-more-interesting reason from the authors.
I remembered that I liked it. It was not like I was deeply swayed by this manga. It was just a so so 7 or 8 to me at that time (probably 2004 and 2005). But for some reason, I did the cosplay, my first and ever whole-hearted cosplay. And I do admit, it was really refreshing for the first few volumes... Until the whole parenthood things from Fanta's MAMA were being brought up, complicating the whole freakin series. And admit it, most manhwa don't have as expressive expressions as that manga possess. So my mind was tangled up even more from all the plot and character and emotionalessness.
I still keep it on hold though. In case in the next... 70 years if I'm still alive and there's an ending. It would be a blast to fool an old age grams! And maybe by then I'll be wiser and will understand all the nods over nods over nods over nods in Faeries Landing 8-}
Fanta! Miranda! Ji Kan Rang? Wow, I still remember the names LOL.

Just read volume 19 and it's definitely not finished yet. Story isn't concluded yet and Yusin is still being captured. And at the end they wrote volume 20 will be out soon.

Manga was good for seven or so volumes. After that it was like the author wanted to change the plot with the subtlety of a hammer to a glass window. A chance for an epic fight became a joke with each side trading two moves then introducing a new contender, all romantic development between main characters is scrapped, then a multi-volume flashback to explain something that could have been done in three-five chapters. No, seriously that sums up half the series and it all happens in that order.
Can't really recommend this

I read this up to volume 14, toughing out the last 5 or so volumes with the hope that it might start to get interesting. Unfortunately, I didn't come to experience any such revelation. The manga really drags on and on, depriving you of the "main story" for volumes at a time, and I can only say it got worse as it progressed (And I actually like it quite a lot in the beginning). I'm under the impression the author is making it up right on the spot (and there's nothing wrong with this...if it's interesting). There doesn't seem to be any sort of carefully thought out progression. New characters are introduced at whim, all of which are practically identical in personality (their cliche looks are their only defining attributes), and the overall story becomes so tangential that you really just stop caring altogether after a while. And if you're looking for any sort of romance, I wouldn't look here. I can only recall about 4 TRUE romantic moments in all of the chapters I've read, and any sort of significant development between the main two characters is questionable. The comedy can be pretty good at times, but it's not enough to keep me attached.
I have regrets spending my time reading this; I'm not even sure why I gave it 14 volumes. It did start off good, and I was actually interested in where it was going. Unfortunately, the manga lost whatever fervor that kept me interested in the beginning, and I only stopped after bearing through what has been more than enough volumes to realize that it wasn't coming back.

As most people said, starts of light hearted and becomes darker later.
Even though it's not THAT good, it gets kind of addictive after a while.
The only complain is the story, it can get confusing sometimes...
Does the female lead like the male or not? And what's the deal about her parents? And Medea?
Things that should've been clear after reading the books are not...

Addictive read. Definately a worthwhile series, it starts light hearted but becomes serious. Although difficult to classify into a genre due to its content.
good but got to serious at final vol

okay, at first i love it but it got to serious to the point that rape was included....i think they tried too much to make it dramatic yet forgetting the main char to freaking include them in the drama
