Great series overall, really mild and not very toxic, a rarity to me in ABO

I think the author has hinted on twitter that they're writing a sequel to the second volume, hopefully including some backstory for Haruki and Tsubaki, which would explain Haruki's existence/weird storyline in volume 2.

Soooo good this one. Just really funny and sweet and so nice to see two leading characters that have mutual respect for each other and are equal to one another. Plus really gorgeous art work. Not to mention, an enemies to lovers, a delinquent trope, and there’s ALREADY A BABY?!?!

I'm not really into omegaverse but when I ran into this story, it got me curious. I thought the story is about a single parent that meets his fated partner it turns out that the story revolves around the flashbacks on where their love story started.

I'm glad I've got to read this when the volumes were completed because I really hate waiting for new volumes to come out and usually, yaoi mangas only have one volume which only have 5 or 6 chapters. So, this one is actually good.

Regarding the story, I love how they've met and how their relationship went through until the present life they have. It's as if I was full and contented with the ending even without side stories because I think that the story have picked-up all the details that we need to know. Although, I'm really curious on the story of yakuza boss and his "assistant" or "guardian". I love age gap stories especially that the uke is older and looks like a power bottom.

Anyways, I really like this. I skipped some speech bubbles that I think were unnecessary but I enjoyed reading this one. Not too much that I'll re-read but good enough to recommend this for those who are into omegaverse with green flag seme and are into stories that has delinquents.

Oh! Also, I just want to add that I love how this story doesn't have a misunderstanding slash jealousy arc which is very refreshing. It's more on the personal emotions and issues which were all good at the end.

I love this couple! Shima-chan Chi no Tsugai Jijou was till now one of my fav omegaverse series! Volume 1 is just perfect...without those well-known toxic scenarios that are always in this universe! Well...till now..in volume 2 we got the same typical 'omegaverse' path...always the same...other alpha who wants to have omega for himself and trying to use him sexually... seriously?! There are potential rapists everywhere in BL...and it was such an amazing story...one star down

I mostly agree with all the positive reviews out there. Sweet and hot, very nice characters and relationships.

I would like to add for people who might not know, that omegaverse rules are by their fictional nature completely moldable to the author's whims. There's a lot of works with similar rules, but like werewolves or vampires, everyone has their interpretation. That's why even in very similar abo works you'll find different percentages of the secondary sexes among the population, different state of laws and views regarding omegas, or different advancements in regards to suppressants, among many details.

Which is why, being able to erase a mate bond is not "illogical", as long as it's decided as possible by the author. The story doesn't go into any details, so it's possible that the mark may be "overwritten" by biting over it (I have seen abo works where it happens). But the character might have simply wanted to cover the bite with his own mark, like many people cover bites or hickeys on the bodies of those they want to mark possession and/or dominance.

I think it doesn't really matter, as I see the scene as mostly being here to show that the characters' bond is unbreakable because they want to stay together. I find that way more romantic than being forced together forever against your will.

Although I also find the character of the rapey guy in question to be lacking, we don't get enough backstory to explain his change of mind.

I could read more of them, this should have been longer!! Like they need a second kid!! And i was curious about another couple side charas who would have made a nice story too!! Anyway a great read!!

I've read a ton of omegaverse and most of them are nonconsensual that it makes my head hurt.

But this manga is different and soooo good.
Yes to consent!!!
Yes to honest feelings and communication!!!

I don’t like rating manga by comparing them to others. This wasn’t a masterpiece, but it was well done in its own way and especially for a story in only 7 chapters!
The story is simple & there’s nothing exciting or new about it, but the art is good, the characters are likable, doesn’t have any rape or dubious consent scenes, and the overall plot is cute.
It’s not a super deep story, but if you’re looking for some quick, fun, escapist reading with happy endings and a healthy, non-abusive relationship, then give it a go ~
