So early on I really loved this, it was fluffy, some plot was heavier but it was weighed out fine, I enjoyed it. It wasn't perfect by any means but it was enjoyable. Mostly light read with fairly nice art.

But then came S3. Looking at others' reviews I can see I'm not the only one that got disappointed there. It honestly felt like it wasn't even the same writing, it was just a hot mess, characters changed (in a bad way), were no longer likeable and I just wanted to see it to the end as I was quite invested but chapter by chapter went by and NOTHING HAPPENED. It just felt like waste of my time. S1-2 already had good amount of plot holes but I could overlook them here as I enjoyed the rest. S3? Plot trenches. And the art also got generic and quite meh.

My S1-S2 rating was 8.6 and that's the only reason I have kept it at what it is because if I were to rate S3 alone, it would be maybe 4.

The characters are annoying. One can't tell if this is a serious story or a nonsense story.

Multiple times the plot hinges on the father of the MC being a doofus and no one doing anything.

The MC's character is all over the place. She is straight forward and bright, but also is afraid of crowds, or attention and doesn't communicate with her friends and family due to previous life trauma. How do all these jell together ? Her behaviour just swings between these states randomly.

Making matters worse, she is also pretty silly and incompetent. I'm not looking for a girl boss, but following this fool around is also tiring. She feels guilty for not being the person that inhibits the body, but it doesn't go anywhere. She doesn't act on this feeling and it is unclear how it affects things. So her family and friends do something dumb, she gets angry, then she understands she is a fool that didn't explain anything to her family so they are only partly at fault, feels guilty and does nothing. So nothing happens for a while. Then a new thing happens and it is also similarly nonsensical.

Some of the things she hides from her family just seem impossible to hide.

The story is just bad, so the fact it is so very long, makes it unbearable.

The fluff is above average. The art is only mediocre though, see if you like it.

The male MC was fine, but started showing early signs of an annoying simp, because only a fool could take the FMC seriously.

Just that.

Absolutely loved season 1&2. Season 3 just seems like a billion filler chapters arguing the same stupid points, ML becomes a complete sniveling mess. It feels like the author promised x number of chapters to the publisher, and has abruptly alluded to the end we all know is coming, and is just now dragging it out needlessly, at the expense of keeping true to character development. It's extremely painful and I've been screaming at my phone to just GET ON WITH IT

I totally agree with ninakun. Yerenika and Euredian is likable in two first season but not anymore. Yerenika lost her straight-fowardness, acted silly, while Euredian became some "as long as my girl is safe, I don't care if innocent people die". Before being a devoted lover, people need to be nice human first. He is also a king. Even if I'm a girl, I don't find a man who was only nice to his lover and ruthless with other people attractive, unless he had solid and reasonable background story (for example, Kaisar in I have no health). At first I thought this series would become my favorite, and I would give it a 8 or 9, but I can't anymore. 7 is too high but 6 is too low, so 6.5 at best. Such a pity because ss1 and ss2 was so good.

There is a sudden change of personality in the third season. It's weird. Besides that nothing ever happens and nothing is ever solved (even if minor plot stuff). I soldiered on for 90+ chapters but it honestly isn't worth it. There is no mystery reading this, no sense of satisfaction either. Don't recommend.

I saw someone here saying that this was romanticizing stockholm syndrome, but that's not it at all. Stockholm syndrome is considered a psychological coping mechanism or defense caused by some sort of extreme trauma like kidnapping, domestic @buse, or s3xual @buse. Yes, FL was 'kidnapped', but she clearly wasn't traumatized by it, AND her goal was to get the ML to not marry Soleia since that decision would lead to the evil son being born and then ultimately, ML's death. A lot of the people who read this and don't like it have only read the first couple chapters and decided the characters were generic, however this is not the case. It's an extreme slow burn story (literally over 100 chapters), and character development... exists... yk? FL doesn't stay weak and clueless, ML doesn't stay cold and aloof. Overall it's a good plot, it's very unorthodox given the fact that so many manhwas use the same cookie-cutter plot point and stuff.

I love this manhwa that's written by a talented
author and adorable arts by the artists.






Update: finished. I love it.
Reminder: don't expect the story to be like overly good, perfect, etc. cause it's not but I can tell you that it is good. Enjoyable read.

Cute fluff with generic characters. I'm also so sick of the "ML is cold to everyone, but the FL is soooo cute and clumsy that it melts his heart" trope.

FL is ditzy, weak, and gives the ML, a literal kidnapper in both the original novel and current world, way too much credit because he's "nice". I'm getting tired of her bemoaning that he is killed by his own son when the ML is always distant with everyone and then is cold to people when they cross some undisclosed line with him? That sounds like the makings of a terrible father. The son probably saw his father as more of an aloof stranger than actual family, which means the ML's to blame for his own death.

Good art. Was funny for awhile and I liked the the main pair. But the story got dull and the supporting cast felt lame to me.
