Description

Every characters' hairdo is impeccable. That is the most noticeable perfection in author's style, which sadly made me feel tired looking at them. But the greatest offense is the amount of drama happen to get the story going. It's so much I feel suffocated. Breathers is hard to find, you have to make it yourself, namely, take a break from reading this manga few months at a time. Oh, and the drama itself is not so great This is GE all over again: school-age romance at premise but mature and somewhat unrestrained in practice.

Rollercoaster of emotion

I read this in about a week. Had to. It keeps you peeled to its pages.
Charaters are relatable, almost always feel real.

While there are misunderstandings here and there, nothing major, so don't expect the usual "she comes at the wrong time and he doesn't have the time to explain himself and there you have the start of drama".

The plot was fairly interesting, the story keeps a brisk pace, but not too fast either. Things seem to happen naturally, maybe beside that one time a certain stepsister decides to break up while being still in love and having absolutely no reason to (or, bad reasons maybe). But hey, it's people, they make mistakes, expecially when feelings and emotions are involved! We're not rational machines that always output the best possible response to each scenario.

The style (both writing and drawing) were a little above meh at the beginning and kept increasing in quality. The mangaka showed some (or maybe, LOT) fanservice, which surprisingly didn't really ruin the whole thing. I still struggle to understand if it's an hentai with story, or a story with hentai in it... Just joking.

The author wrote a masterpiece, and while the ending wasn't what I expected, I feel it made sense.
Don't read it if you're emotionally fragile right now. Settle up, be sure you and your partner, if you have one, are doing great, have no problems in real life. Then you can enjoy the drama and not cry too much.

Just to add to how good this thing is, I came and registered to post this rating. And I've seen other masterpieces like Death Note, Assassination Classroom, Code Geass, and more emotionally engaging stuff. Still, this strikes a chord in my heart.

Full of emotions

I see a new version of Ichigo 100% in this manga. Yet, this hits me soo much that I have to comment here to vent my feelings out. First of all, I think the ending was forced but correct. I mean, you guys read the whole thing right? You know how much of this series was happening in the sidelines. I can't even focus on the main story line knowing how much

Sacrifice Hina was doing, I was rooting for her starting from that sacrifice arc till the end. The emotions the author gave her were just hitting me dead center. She definitely deserve that ending. It feels good to see her get her due after all those years. . I concede, the author made us read through hundreds of chapters saying otherwise, but it was her that's doing the heavy lifting in this manga. That being said, I completely thought that it will end the other way around, logically speaking. It's an emotional manga that at times I could not take, ! the Hina slander in the middle of the manga was so bad I want to stop reading it every time I reach the end of a chapter. The Ending feels like a fan service of some sort for us Hina fans, or at least good karma working it's way into the story . Over all, it started good then it capitalized on the controversy it created, and more so capitalized on the big plot twist moment. Nothing bad to say. Wouldn't advise reading for the emotional, empathetic or feint hearted.

Excellent work

The story has a very good, interesting and solid argument. The characters are also very well developed. A work highly recommended for fans of the romance genre. Its only weak spot is that the immaturity that often the main character shows, becomes exasperating to the point that you would believe that he will begin to falter and commit the same mistakes as before. About the art, I only have to say it is excellent.

So Far So Good

There have been ups and downs in this manga, and there still is a lot of drama where I'm at now ch 64. My opinion on this is that it's a great read if you are fine with all the emotional roller coasters that happens. Not going to say what exactly, but I almost never thought the main character would get what he wanted and would be ntr'd the rest of the way. OHO was I wrong. So much happens that sometimes it gets me frustrated and mad, but it's a sign that I'm getting way into it. I'm new at this rating thing, but I can definitely say I would recommend it if you're a fan of KissXKiss, UnbalanceXUnbalance, and, of course, GE Good Ending. And maybe Nozoki Ana.

Guilty pleasure

This manga starts of very similar to sasuga kei's previous work GE - Good Ending.
Our MC has a one sided crush on a girl. The girl also turns out to be involved in a unhealthy relationship. Some of the other characters also bear character traits of characters in GE.

I prefer Natsuo to the MC in GE, as he is different from the unpopular type that usually appears in male orientated romance manga.
Some people have complained about how the MC wavers with the other females characters but this also normal behaviour.
His sleeps with Rui in the 1st ch. because he is trying to let go of his feelings for Hina after realizing she only sees him as a child. He doesn't know how to handle her advances later on as she is now his step sister and he does not want to hurt her or damage their new family.
He almost falls for Momo's seduction after being officially turned down by Hina but does not follow through as he realizes how lonely Momo actually is and sex is only her attempt to fill the void in her life.
He starts to picture Ashihara as a potential GF because she seems to be pure and a part of him feels he has to conform to a healthy relationship with a girl his age.

Later on when Hina appears to have feelings for him against all his expectations he wholeheartedly pursues her against her reservations.Also there is a major arc in the latest raw chapters dealing with Ashihara and Kiriya to those that say that the side characters dont have any depth. Although a lot don't.

Adultery and even people pinning after people who are in committed relationships is not something I really like to read about. As a result there are many times when I have disliked some of the characters.
Overall I am addicted to this series.

Controversial Ending is Blown out of Proportion

People will hate on the ending mostly dislike it because they wanted Rui and Natsuo to end up happily together. And the way the author did it was super brutal for Rui fans, and I get that. However, when Rui and Natsuo decide to long distance, Hina and Natsuo's relationship became one of the main themes while Rui worked on her career. So, that's why the end actually makes more sense than what people are thinking.

Unnecessary drama

In a way it's endearing. I don't think anyone going into this type of manga did not expect drama to happen. Knowing Good Ending I expected to be pissed reading this. Perhaps it is because I was able to read 145 chapters without waiting but I have to say aside from a bit of pacing in some middle chapters I really love this series. It is honestly pretty light as far as the genre goes. The mc is likable enough aside from being a bit wishy-washy, side characters are interesting, and honestly although unnecessary I feel the events that cause the drama are natural enough that makes this so outstanding. I was really pissed off with Good Ending and dropped it halfway(read a summary though) but I am glad I gave the mangaka another chance with this.

REALLY GOOD SLICE OF LIFE.
