After reading the description I was under the impression that either this was one true 'hidden' gem, or - more likely - is definitely trying to oversell itself... The latter proved true.
Very disappointing and axed ending. These two (very short) volumes could be called an extended prologue, just when you expect the story to really 'start' (and get better)... it ends.
Story... I was actually pretty disgusted by it and was actually glad when it ended. Your typical 'mad' obsessive immoral scientists dominated fictional future (hence the cyberpunk).
The art is apparently praised... I've seen much much better in larger quantities. Better than most American comics around at that time, but still... In my opinion, it's nothing noteworthy.
Then again, I prefer my art clean, smooth, orderly and functional... Like that of most modern day manga. Why bother putting in so much detail when, at most, you'll look it it a couple of seconds and it serves no other purpose than to 'impress/distract' the readers. I'd rather have coloured pages than this. (Beautiful > Detailed)
If you're looking for humanness, definitely steer clear of this one.
If you're looking for action, don't bother
If you're looking for romance, there is a bit... but nothing noteworthy and it's very short
If you're looking for good story, nothing to be had here
