I find the most pleasure not from the MC succeeding but from the trash people around them that has stunted emotional capabilities to realize that they wasted such a great person. I want that regret! That suffering. I want them to feel PAIN!

I didn't think the author would crank that lever and push it farther to the point that everyone is a casualty. Friendly-fire was off on this one, folks. Everyone gets tortured. Everyone is in pain.

I read it all because I really wanted to see where it went. It is just a very super dramatic drama, but it does not leave you that much.

Heartbreakingly beautiful

The synopsis really doesn't do this story justice. I was expecting another story of cheating and toxic love. I got served a very different one of heart-rending pain and real life (with cheating and toxic love on the side).

Bring your tissues, this read is extremely touching and sincere.

On a side note, I do have a personal dislike of localized first names that does not stop me from enjoying a story, but who the heck thought naming a main character Adolf was a good idea?

I saw the reviews here before I read this manhua. Although the translation is full of errors, the story is good enough that I wanted to keep reading.

The comments that said this story is a powerful tale of love, and love in its purest and ugliest form, is true.

Love, after a long time, becomes a habit. When do you let it go, and can you? Even when someone better comes along, can you fall in love with them?

One thing that Chinese people like to say is that I'll pay you back in our next life, and there will be mentions of this to highlight how strongly the characters feel about each other, or how much guilt or in debt they feel towards the other, or how much love they have for them.

After reading this, all I can think of is that we need to treasure the people around us. If they were to die tomorrow, will we regret we we said or did to them today? Let's hope that we can understand how selfish we've been to our loves ones, and we have been knowingly or unknowingly causing them unhappiness.

We might not have done as bad as the characters here have, but you don't need to go that far to make others around you unhappy. Perhaps we said something insensitive. Perhaps we got inpatient and bored and turned away from someone when they were chatting away. Perhaps we didn't give thanks for the cooking that was done for us. Perhaps we've procrastinated on something our loved ones wanted us to do for them. All the little things in life can change at any moment. The hugs we're used to receiving might be lost forever. Let's cherish the things in our life, and do simple everyday things that makes others happy as well. hugs for all

So I haven't read it yet but the synopsis here is too boring compared to the one for its novel version (called The Decade of Deep Love) so on a whim I'm posting that here. It sounds really good but it also sounds like my heart can't handle it atm lol so one day

They had been together since high school.
